6MM SPC Series — 6mm Waterproof SPC Vinyl Plank (Serendipity Collection Floors)

The 6MM SPC Series is the single collection from Serendipity Collection Floors — a 6mm stone-polymer-core plank engineered to be 100% waterproof from edge to edge. Each board measures 9 inches wide by 60 inches long, wears a 20 mil Ceramic Bead surface over a Larger Micro Bevel edge, and clicks together with a Uniclic angle-lock system. A factory-attached 1.5mm IXPE antimicrobial acoustic pad comes bonded to every plank, so the floor goes down quiet with no separate underlayment. The series spans six colors from pale blonde through deep dark brown, is GREENGUARD Gold and FloorScore certified, and carries a 50-year residential / 10-year light-commercial warranty. All six are stocked at our Santa Clara showroom.

Colors in the 6MM SPC Series

The six colors form a complete light-to-dark wood-look palette. On the light end, Vermont 303 is a pale warm blonde with a soft beige base and Houston 501 is a warm sandy beige with gentle greige depth — both open up smaller or dimmer rooms. Odessa 003 (warm light brown with golden-tan undertones) and San Antonio 401 (warm greige beige with a soft neutral cast) sit in the versatile mid-range that pairs with the widest range of cabinetry. Dallas 117 brings a mellow golden tan with warm brown depth and a more rustic, multi-tone character, while Bastrop 207 anchors the dark end as a deep warm brown with reddish undertones and golden streaking. Every color is warm-leaning, so the palette reads inviting rather than cold.

Best uses for 6MM SPC Series

  • Kitchens & bathrooms — the 100% waterproof core shrugs off spills, splashes, and mop water.
  • Basements & below-grade rooms — installs over on-, above-, or below-grade concrete (a new slab must cure at least 90 days).
  • Pet & high-traffic homes — the 20 mil Ceramic Bead surface resists claws, scuffs, and dragged furniture.
  • Radiant-heated floors — compatible with embedded radiant subfloors up to an 85F surface temperature.
  • Rentals & small offices — the 10-year light-commercial warranty and click install suit turnaround projects.
  • Open-plan whole-home — the long 9″ × 60″ plank runs continuously across an open layout for a seamless look.

Choosing a color from the 6MM SPC Series

Match the color to your room’s light and cabinetry: the blondes and beiges (Vermont 303, Houston 501) brighten low-light rooms and hide everyday dust, while the deep Bastrop 207 grounds a bright, light-filled space and looks best against white or pale walls. The mid-tone Odessa 003, San Antonio 401, and rustic Dallas 117 are the safest matches across mixed cabinetry. Because a printed wood-look shifts under different lighting, see the sample in person under your own light at our Santa Clara showroom before committing.

Frequently asked questions about the 6MM SPC Series

How many boxes do I need?
Each carton covers 26.3 sq ft. Measure your room’s length × width in feet for the square footage, add about 10% for cuts, waste, and attic stock, then divide by 26.3 and round up to the next full carton. Pull alternate planks from at least five boxes during install to blend natural color and texture variation.
Is the whole series waterproof enough for a bathroom?
Yes — all six colors share the same 100% waterproof SPC core, so any of them works in a full bathroom, kitchen, or laundry. Keep interior relative humidity between 30% and 50% year-round and avoid prolonged direct sunlight, which can damage the floor at sustained indoor temperatures over 95F.
Do I need to add underlayment?
No. Every plank in the series has a factory-attached 1.5mm IXPE antimicrobial acoustic pad. Do not add any additional underlayment beneath the planks — the attached pad already handles cushioning and footfall noise, and a second pad is not recommended.
What subfloor prep does it need?
The substrate must be dry, clean, smooth, flat, and level within 3/16 inch over a 10-foot radius — grind down high spots and fill low spots. Over concrete, verify moisture vapor transmission does not exceed 8 lbs/1000 sq ft/24 hours (ASTM F-1869) and internal relative humidity does not exceed 85% (ASTM F-2170); a new slab must cure at least 90 days. Do not install over carpet or cushioned-back resilient flooring.
Can I install it myself?
Yes — the Uniclic angle-lock system installs as a glueless floating floor. Acclimate the planks 24 to 48 hours on a climate-controlled job site, keep room temperature at 65F-85F before, during, and after install, leave a minimum 5/16-inch expansion gap around the perimeter and all vertical objects, and stagger end joints at least 8 inches row to row. Do not install cabinets on top of the planks.
