What is Odessa?

Odessa is a rigid, wood-look SPC floor in a warm light brown shade, with a thick, high-traffic wear layer for a simple, carefree finish.

Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. Kitchen reality — dropped pots, splashes, and daily mop-and-go cleaning — won't faze the planks, as long as you wipe spills up promptly and dry any standing water. Not approved for outdoor installation; test the subfloor for moisture before installing.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

The construction includes a 20 mil wear layer — about 0.50 mm — designed for heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, with excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. It sits at the thicker, harder-wearing end of the range.

Will it hold up to daily life?

Dog nails, cat claws, litter grit, water-bowl splash — Odessa's 20 mil wear layer and Ceramic Bead finish resist the scratches and scuffs a pet household puts on a floor, whereas a thinner LVT wear layer marks more easily.

What does the plank surface look like?

The plank surface shows an open cathedral grain with a gentle swirling figure and flowing arcs, with soft mineral streaking and a scattering of small knots board to board. The 9-inch by 60-inch format gives each plank room for that figure to flow, and the Larger Micro Bevel edge defines where one board meets the next. A Ceramic Bead finish adds scratch and scuff resistance, and the printed surface stays consistent and easy to read across the floor.

Quiet enough upstairs or in a condo?

The 1.5mm IXPE antimicrobial acoustic layer damps the hollow "click" sound characteristic of floating floors. Odessa is quieter underfoot than LVT with a loose pad — both for the walker and for rooms below in multi-story homes.

Is it safe for indoor air?

Yes — Odessa carries GREENGUARD Gold, FloorScore certifications, independently tested for low chemical emissions. That matters most for households with allergies, asthma, or young children.

Will this color work in my room?

In bright natural daylight the golden-tan undertones in Odessa come forward and the floor looks warm and clear; under softer or cooler light it eases toward a quieter, more neutral light brown. The warm cast means it leans friendly in most rooms, so if you want an easygoing, mid-century-leaning floor it works in living rooms, dining rooms, and bedrooms alike. Pull alternate planks from at least five boxes during installation to blend the natural color and grain variation evenly.
