Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. Stable against concrete-slab humidity and seasonal moisture variation, so Vermont suits below-grade rooms once the slab passes a moisture test; clean up standing water promptly. Not approved for outdoor installation.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

The top of Vermont carries a 20 mil wear layer — equivalent to 0.50 mm — designed for heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, giving you excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. It runs noticeably thicker than the entry-level wear layers.

Will it hold up to daily life?

At 20 mil, Vermont's wear layer sits on the thicker end for residential flooring, which is why it stands up well to heavy day-to-day use. The 6mm construction adds rigidity underfoot, so the floor handles busy rooms without showing wear quickly.

What does the plank surface look like?

The plank surface shows an open cathedral grain with a soft swirling figure and a gentle curl through the boards. You will see scattered pin knots and small eyes, fine mineral flecks, and soft board-to-board variation, with a moderate amount of knotting for character without busyness. The printed surface has a Ceramic Bead finish for added scratch and scuff resistance, and a Larger Micro Bevel edge defines each 9-inch by 60-inch plank.

Quiet enough upstairs or in a condo?

The 1.5mm IXPE antimicrobial acoustic layer damps the hollow "click" sound characteristic of floating floors. Vermont is quieter underfoot than LVT with a loose pad — both for the walker and for rooms below in multi-story homes.
