Is it waterproof?
Yes — 100% waterproof. Powder-room splashes, daily wet feet, and towel drops wipe up without harm when cleaned promptly. Indoor use only — not for installation inside showers or wet rooms, and outdoor installation is not approved.
How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?
The surface of Sahara Beige is finished with a 20 mil wear layer — measuring about 0.51 mm — made for heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, giving you excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. In everyday use, it's a step up from the standard-duty wear layers.
Will it hold up to daily life?
Kitchen stress test: dropped cutlery, pans slid from oven to counter, refrigerator casters, and dishwasher spray — Sahara Beige's 20 mil wear layer and finish handle the spills, dropped pots, and dragged stools of daily kitchen use, and wipe clean with a vinyl-safe cleaner.
What does the plank surface look like?
Up close, the surface shows a sweeping cathedral figure running the length of each wide plank and opening into loose arcs near the center. Long horizontal mineral streaks trace the grain, and fine hairline fissures split the middle of the widest boards. Small pin knots scatter at a moderate spacing, with gentle color shifts from one board to the next that keep the run looking natural rather than repetitive.
