What is Penmore Walnut?

Penmore Walnut is a waterproof, wood-look WPC floor built around a warm mid-brown color, with a thick, heavy-wear surface for a low-maintenance, practical finish.

Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. Built for daily life: mop-and-go cleaning, occasional spills, and pet accidents wiped up promptly; clean standing water quickly. Indoor use only — outdoor installation is not approved.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

This floor has a 30 mil wear layer — equal to about 0.76 mm — made for heavy residential use and many commercial applications, with exceptional protection against scratches, scuffs, and everyday wear. That puts it toward the top of the WPC wear-layer range.

Will it hold up to daily life?

Office chair wheels, spike-heel point loads, and dragged furniture all concentrate force. Penmore Walnut's 30 mil wear layer plus 12mm rigid WPC core manages this better than laminate — WPC resists crush-indent where laminate high-density fiberboard would dent permanently.

What does the plank surface look like?

Up close the planks vary board to board. On some a sweeping cathedral loop arcs up the center; on others fine parallel grain lines run nearly straight the length of the board, and the two figures alternate so no plank looks like its neighbor. A few pin flecks scatter across the surface, and the knotting stays sparse and small, pin-sized at most, so the grain does the work and the surface never turns busy. The whole print sits in that warm golden-tan brown, giving Penmore Walnut a walnut-look grain that stays soft and even rather than dramatic.

Quiet enough upstairs or in a condo?

The attached acoustic layer damps the hollow "click" sound characteristic of floating floors. Penmore Walnut is quieter underfoot than LVT with a loose pad — both for the walker and for rooms below in multi-story homes.

Is it safe for indoor air?

Yes — Penmore Walnut carries GREENGUARD Gold certification, independently tested for low chemical emissions. That matters most for households with allergies, asthma, or young children.

Will this color work in my room?

With no direct window sun, Penmore Walnut leans on soft midday daylight and the warm pendants overhead, and the golden-tan undertone answers both. It keeps its warmth under the bulbs instead of flattening to grey, and reads a shade brighter when the daylight lifts at midday.
