Shire is a rigid, wood-look SPC floor in a near-ebony espresso brown tone, with a durable, heavy-traffic wear layer for a simple, carefree finish.

Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. Unlike engineered hardwood or laminate, surface spills don't soak in, and the rigid core won't cup or buckle. Wipe up spills and pet accidents promptly and don't leave standing water. Not approved for outdoor installation.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

Shire comes with a 20 mil wear layer — roughly 0.51 mm thick — built for heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, giving you excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. It runs noticeably thicker than the entry-level wear layers.

Will it hold up to daily life?
