Quick Answer

What is Pissarro?

Pissarro is a genuine engineered hardwood floor built around a pale sandy beige color, with a natural hardwood grain for a rich, inviting look.

Is it waterproof?

Pissarro offers real-wood looks with more moisture tolerance than solid hardwood, yet it is not waterproof. Wipe spills promptly, keep indoor humidity in a normal range, and for genuinely wet rooms choose a floor built to be fully waterproof.

Can it be refinished?

Two different things: the finish can be refreshed with a light recoat no matter how much veneer is left, while a full sanding is limited by the real wood on top. With a 4mm veneer, this floor can usually take two or three professional refinishes.

What does the plank surface look like?

Close up, Pissarro is one of the calmer surfaces in this range: a clean sweeping cathedral figure with minimal character, just a scattering of pin knots and a faint mineral fleck here and there, plus a single tight growth-ring loop that gives one board a quiet focal point. There is real oak variation from plank to plank rather than a repeated pattern, but nothing loud, and the wire-brushed texture adds grip and a subtle tactile feel without visual noise. It is the kind of grain that reads clean from standing height and rewards a closer look.

Will this color work in my room?

Pissarro is a very-light, warm beige, and in this kitchen it has plenty of light to play with: bright midday sun pouring through wide glass doors. In that flood of daylight it lifts to an almost sunlit cream, clean and airy. Pull it into a darker room and the creamy warmth keeps it from going stark or clinical; morning light reads cooler, late-afternoon sun warmer and more golden. It is a shade that stays cheerful across the day rather than washing out.

Overview

Pissarro keeps its grain deliberately quiet: a flowing cathedral figure with only a few pin knots, faint mineral flecking, and one tight growth-ring loop breaking the calm. The color is a pale sandy beige with a light creamy warmth, fresh and bright without tipping yellow. It is European Oak engineered hardwood, wire-brushed and sealed under a clear UV lacquer, with a 4mm oak veneer that lets it take the daily traffic a kitchen hands out. We photographed it in a modern-farmhouse kitchen, where a floor that stays this bright and even does real work: it keeps a busy, hard-working room feeling open and clean rather than closed-in.

In a working kitchen, Pissarro stays bright and even underfoot, so the room reads open no matter how much is going on above it.

Frequently asked questions

What does it look like installed in a real room?
In the photographed kitchen, Pissarro runs wall to wall beneath a waterfall marble island with leather bar stools pulled up to it, a wood dining table off to one side, and open shelving stacked with everyday dishware. Fresh flowers and potted herbs add life, white cabinetry keeps the walls bright, and a dark range-hood accent gives the room its one deep note. Sliding glass doors open to a wooded deck just beyond. The pale beige floor ties all of it together: it is light enough to keep the white-and-marble scheme feeling crisp, and warm enough that the leather and the darker accents never read cold against it.
Will it match my cabinets?
The kitchen we shot pairs Pissarro with white cabinetry, and it is an easy, natural match: the pale creamy beige reads warm against crisp white fronts without any clash. The dark range hood overhead shows how well it also takes a deeper accent, since the floor's warmth softens the contrast so a near-black element looks intentional rather than heavy. If your cabinets are off-white, greige, or a pale natural-oak, Pissarro will sit happily beside them; it only gets tricky next to strongly orange-toned mid-browns, where its cooler creaminess can look slightly mismatched.
Does this floor work with indoor plants?
There are potted herbs and fresh flowers in this kitchen, and they look right at home on Pissarro. A pale, warm beige is a natural foil for green: foliage reads vivid against it without any color fight, and the floor's quiet grain keeps the plants, not the boards, as the pop of life. One practical note that has nothing to do with looks: because this is real oak, set planters on a tray or a felt-based saucer rather than straight on the floor, so trapped moisture under a pot never sits against the finish.
