Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. Built for daily life: mop-and-go cleaning, occasional spills, and pet accidents wiped up promptly; clean standing water quickly. Indoor use only — outdoor installation is not approved.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

Namib Mist has a 20 mil wear layer — roughly 0.51 mm thick — built for heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, so you get excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. It runs noticeably thicker than the entry-level wear layers.

Will it hold up to daily life?

Office chair wheels, spike-heel point loads, and dragged furniture all concentrate force. What does the plank surface look like?

Up close, each Namib Mist plank shows a flowing straight grain that lifts now and then into gentle open arches, with restrained contrast and a quiet, feathered figure. A few small pin knots and thin dark mineral streaks scatter across the face, adding just enough character to keep the printed surface from looking flat. The look stays calm and even rather than busy, so the boards read smooth and continuous from one length to the next.

The EVA acoustic layer damps the hollow "click" sound characteristic of floating floors. Namib Mist is quieter underfoot than LVT with a loose pad — both for the walker and for rooms below in multi-story homes.
