What is Laval?

Laval is a waterproof, wood-look SPC floor in a light blonde shade, with a heavy residential, light-commercial-ready wear layer for a simple, carefree finish.

Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. Stable against concrete-slab humidity and seasonal moisture variation, so Laval suits below-grade rooms once the slab passes a moisture test; clean up standing water promptly. Not approved for outdoor installation.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

This floor has a 20 mil wear layer — equal to about 0.50 mm — ideal for heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, delivering excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. A common step-up point where the extra thickness starts to matter.

Will it hold up to daily life?

At 20 mil, Laval's wear layer sits on the thicker end for residential flooring, which is why it stands up well to heavy day-to-day use. The 8mm construction adds rigidity underfoot, so the floor handles busy rooms without showing wear quickly.

What does the plank surface look like?

Each Laval plank shows long, uninterrupted grain lines with a quiet cathedral figure and gentle variation from board to board. There are no knots and few character marks, so the pattern stays clean and consistent across a floor. The wood-look grain is printed, which keeps that consistency even over a large open area.

Quiet enough upstairs or in a condo?

The 1.5mm IXPE anti-microbial acoustic layer damps the hollow "click" sound characteristic of floating floors. Laval is quieter underfoot than LVT with a loose pad — both for the walker and for rooms below in multi-story homes.

Will this color work in my room?

Because Laval is so light and warm, it does its best work in rooms with good light. Under the bright midday sun of the room we shot, the golden-beige warmth lifts and the floor looks fresh and open; in a lower-light or north-facing room the same shade reads a touch softer and creamier but stays warm rather than cold. It pairs naturally with white and pale walls and with warm metal accents like brushed gold.
