Quick Answer

What is Fog?

Fog is a wood-look SPC floor in a soft charcoal greige shade, with a resilient, home-grade wear layer for a simple, carefree finish.

Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. A splash at the sink or a dropped glass wipes up without harming Fog when cleaned promptly; don't leave water standing. Indoor use only — outdoor installation is not approved.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

The surface of Fog is finished with a 12 mil wear layer — roughly 0.30 mm thick — intended for everyday residential use across the busy areas of most homes, delivering solid everyday scratch and scuff resistance. That's one of the most common wear-layer thicknesses.

Will it hold up to daily life?

Fog has a 12 mil protective layer — thicker than the thin wear layers on entry-level LVT. That's the physical protective film above the print, sealed by finish.

What does the plank surface look like?

Up close, Fog shows an open, flowing grain with long sweeping figure and strong but not overwhelming knot character - dark open knots with radiating cracks and fine checks along the grain, varying clearly from board to board. It has real rustic texture in the look while staying a touch softer and warmer than a heavily clustered plank, printed so each plank keeps the same warm character.

Quiet enough upstairs or in a condo?

The 1mm EVA acoustic layer damps the hollow "click" sound characteristic of floating floors. Fog is quieter underfoot than LVT with a loose pad — both for the walker and for rooms below in multi-story homes.

Is it safe for indoor air?

Yes — Fog carries FloorScore certification, independently tested for low chemical emissions. That matters most for households with allergies, asthma, or young children.

Will this color work in my room?

In the afternoon, under warm ambient light and a fabric-shade chandelier, Fog's greige warms and the taupe-brown depth comes forward. Daylight from the window keeps it reading neutral, while lower light deepens it toward a soft brown-grey. That warm-neutral balance pairs easily with cream, chocolate-brown, and taupe furnishings.

Overview

Muted dark greige with a warm taupe-brown depth, Fog is the warmer, softer take on a knotted floor - cozy where it could be rustic. Its grain flows open and long, with strong knot character: dark open knots with radiating cracks and fine checks run along sweeping figure, varied board to board. In a transitional living room, Fog warms a leather sofa and dark wood-tone trim, comfortable and classic without going formal.

Fog is a warm, muted greige with easy knotted character - classic comfort underfoot.

Frequently asked questions

What does it look like installed in a real room?
Installed, Fog floors a warm, transitional living room - a leather sofa, an armchair, and a carved coffee table sit over the greige, with a dark wood-tone console, framed porcelain art, and sheer drapes under a fabric-shade chandelier. The warm greige and dark wood-tone trim read cozy and classic, the knotted floor giving the formal pieces an easy, family-friendly feel.
Will it match my cabinets?
Fog pairs with the dark wood-tone trim and warm greige walls in its own room, the greige floor warming up the darker millwork. It also suits cream, taupe, and greige cabinetry, and its warm neutral base makes it flexible for both traditional and transitional kitchens.
How does this color read in a windowless basement?
In a windowless basement or a family room with lamplight, Fog reads as a warm, textured greige - its knots and grain keep it from looking flat under artificial light. A warm bulb deepens its taupe-brown, while a cooler LED sharpens the grey and lifts the knot detail.
Does this floor work with indoor plants?
Yes - Fog is an easy, warm backdrop for greenery. The muted greige and taupe warmth let green foliage read naturally rather than starkly, so a leafy floor plant or a fern by the window both look at home against it.
