Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. Bastion Elm handles pet accidents, water-bowl spills, and tracked-in mud wiped up promptly without swelling. Clean up standing water quickly. Not approved for outdoor installation.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

Bastion Elm features a 20 mil wear layer — equal to about 0.50 mm — appropriate for heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, delivering excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. It's a common step-up in wear-layer thickness, where the extra protection starts to matter.

Will it hold up to daily life?

Bastion Elm's 20 mil wear layer and finish resist scratching and scuffing over years of use. It wipes clean with a vinyl-safe cleaner and a damp mop, and keeps the printed grain reading consistent across the floor.

What does the plank surface look like?

Each 9-inch plank shows a flowing cathedral grain with long, arching figure and a few scattered small knots. Fine mineral streaking runs the length of the boards, and occasional sawn cross-grain marks add a touch of rustic character. The wider format reveals more of each board's pattern, so the natural movement is easy to appreciate.
