Yes — 100% waterproof. A splash at the sink or a dropped glass wipes up without harming Bakersfield Oak when cleaned promptly; don't leave water standing. Indoor use only — outdoor installation is not approved.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

The plank features a 20 mil wear layer — roughly 0.50 mm thick — well suited to heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, with excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. It runs noticeably thicker than the entry-level wear layers.

Will it hold up to daily life?

Bakersfield Oak has a 20 mil protective layer — thicker than the roughly 12-mil mid-tier and 6-mil entry-level LVT wear layers. That's the physical protective film above the print, sealed by finish.

What does the plank surface look like?

Each 7-inch plank shows a tight, straight grain with fine ray flecking and the occasional small knot. Soft cathedral arches appear toward the middle of some boards, but the overall look stays quiet and even. The wood-look print varies enough from board to board to avoid an obvious repeat without turning busy.
