Each plank runs on a genuine stone polymer core with a 20 mil wear layer and a pre-attached acoustic EVA pad, so it installs floating over plywood, OSB, or concrete without an extra underlayment purchase. Planks measure 9″ × 60″ and lock together with an angle-drop click system for a tight, gap-free floor. Is Country Gem SPC actually waterproof?

Yes. The stone polymer core is 100% waterproof with no soak-time limit, and every seam locks with the angle-drop click system, which is why the collection is rated for kitchens and bathrooms.

Can Country Gem go over radiant heat?

Yes — Country Gem is compatible with hydronic and embedded radiant systems as long as the floor’s surface temperature stays at or below 85 degrees F.

Can I install Country Gem myself?

Yes. It’s a floating click-lock floor — no glue or nails — that installs over plywood, OSB, concrete, or an existing fully-adhered hard-surface floor, starting left to right with end joints staggered at least 6″.

Do I need an underlayment or moisture barrier?

The acoustic EVA pad is pre-attached, so no separate underlayment is needed. Over concrete, install a 6-mil poly vapor barrier first, and confirm the slab meets ASTM F2170 (RH 85% or less) and ASTM F1869 (MVER 3 lbs or less) before installing.
