Yes — 100% waterproof. Built for daily life: mop-and-go cleaning, occasional spills, and pet accidents wiped up promptly; clean standing water quickly. Indoor use only — outdoor installation is not approved.
How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?
Every plank is finished with a 20 mil wear layer — equal to about 0.51 mm — built for heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, giving you excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. That's a step above the standard-duty wear layers.
Will it hold up to daily life?
Office chair wheels, spike-heel point loads, and dragged furniture all concentrate force. Protect Colton's 20 mil wear layer with soft casters (Type W or U), a chair mat in high-use areas, and felt pads under furniture legs — the manufacturer's recommended precautions for keeping a rigid SPC core dent-free.
What does the plank surface look like?
Up close, Colton shows dense parallel grain lines running the length of each plank, with a soft cathedral figure that lifts into pronounced peaks near the board centers. Several small, tight knots sit at a moderate spacing, adding a little texture and interest to the face. The board-to-board figure is strong, so no two planks read quite the same across a floor.
Quiet enough upstairs or in a condo?
