Diamond Series — Engineered Hardwood, 9/16″ (Amazon Wood Floors)

Diamond Series is Amazon Wood Floors’ American Oak engineered hardwood line — 9/16″ total thickness with a 3mm wear layer, milled tongue-and-groove and installable by glue-down, staple/nail-down, or floating. Planks run 9-1/2″ wide and up to 87″ long, in four colors clustered in a warm medium-beige-to-light-brown range. Every plank is CARB Phase 2 compliant with a German E-1 adhesive, backed by a 25-Year Residential Finish Warranty, 5-Year Light Commercial Finish Warranty, and Lifetime Structural Warranty. Available to order through our Santa Clara showroom.

Colors in the Diamond Series

Diamond Series keeps a tighter, warmer color band than Amazon’s other wide-plank line: Doheny is the lightest medium-beige, while Hillcrest, Rodeo, and Roxbury move through closely related light-brown tones. It’s a good fit for a buyer who wants a cohesive American Oak floor without picking between drastically different shades.

Best uses for Diamond Series

  • Open-plan living areas — the 9-1/2″ wide, up-to-87″ long plank suits large, connected rooms.
  • Concrete-slab or plywood subfloors — glue-down, staple/nail-down, or floating all apply.
  • Whole-home consistency — the narrow color range makes it easy to carry one Diamond Series color through several rooms.
  • Light-commercial spaces — the 5-Year Light Commercial Finish Warranty extends coverage beyond residential use.

Choosing a color from the Diamond Series

Because the four Diamond Series colors sit close together, the difference is more about undertone than lightness — Doheny leans slightly beige, Hillcrest and Rodeo split the middle, and Roxbury runs the warmest brown. Bring a sample home or compare it under your own lighting at our Santa Clara showroom, where we can also confirm dye lots across a full order.

Frequently asked questions about the Diamond Series

Is Diamond Series approved for radiant heat?
Amazon Wood Floors’ installation instructions state radiant-heat approval explicitly for the European Oak collections. For Diamond Series (American Oak), confirm with Amazon Wood Floors before installing over a radiant system.
Can I install it myself?
Yes — it’s tongue-and-groove and approved for glue-down, staple/nail-down, or floating. Leave a minimum 1/2″ expansion gap around the perimeter and work from several cartons at once for shade blending.
What subfloor prep does it need?
Acclimate on-site at least 72 hours first. Wood/plywood subfloors should read under 12% moisture (within 4% of the flooring’s own moisture reading); over concrete, use a moisture sealer if emissions exceed 3 lbs per 1,000 sq ft (ASTM F1869 calcium chloride test).
What’s the warranty?
A 25-Year Residential Finish Warranty, 5-Year Light Commercial Finish Warranty, and Lifetime Structural Warranty.
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes — Diamond Series is available to order through our Santa Clara showroom, where you can compare colors in person and we can help confirm dye lots for a full-room order.
