Nares Oak is a waterproof, wood-look WPC floor in a grey (medium) shade, with a durable, heavy-traffic wear layer for a low-maintenance, practical finish.

Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. The rigid core stands up to everyday surface water — spills, mop water, pet accidents — without swelling or delaminating when wiped up promptly. It won't substitute for fixing a standing leak; dry the floor and the source quickly. Not approved for outdoor installation; keep the subfloor dry before and during install.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

The plank features a 20 mil wear layer — equal to about 0.51 mm — built for heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, offering excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. It runs noticeably thicker than the entry-level wear layers.

Will it hold up to daily life?

Minor scratches on Nares Oak stay low-visibility — faint surface marks rather than the bright white scuff lines a glossy floor shows. The 20 mil wear layer hides minor wear within the printed grain pattern — low visibility, not just high durability.

What does the plank surface look like?

Up close, Nares Oak is all character. Heavy knots dot the surface, several of them cracked open, and deep splits with fine checking run across the boards for a genuinely reclaimed look. Pronounced saw marks cut over the grain, and no two planks match, so the board-to-board variation is dramatic, ranging from cleaner lengths to heavily marked ones. It is a busy, tactile surface, and the warm brown tone keeps all that texture feeling cozy rather than distressed.

Quiet enough upstairs or in a condo?

The attached acoustic layer damps the hollow "click" sound characteristic of floating floors. Nares Oak is quieter underfoot than LVT with a loose pad — both for the walker and for rooms below in multi-story homes.
