Quick Answer
What is Aqua White?
Aqua White is a real-wood engineered hardwood floor in a creamy off-white tone, with a smooth, premium grain and very few knots for a calm, polished finish.
Is it waterproof?
No — engineered hardwood is real wood on top, so it's water-resistant at best, not waterproof. Aqua White tolerates humidity and moisture-prone rooms better than solid wood thanks to its stable core, but standing water and spills should still be wiped up promptly.
Can it be refinished?
How many times it can be refinished comes down to the real-wood veneer on top. With its 4mm layer, this floor can usually take two or three professional refinishes.
What does the plank surface look like?
Up close the surface is calm and even, a straight grain with soft cathedral figure and very little interruption. You will spot faint mineral wisps threading through the boards and an occasional pin-sized fleck, with only light knotting overall; the wire-brushed texture adds a subtle tactile grip along the grain without breaking up that quiet look. Since this is real oak, the grain is naturally unique from one plank to the next, so the floor looks genuine without ever getting loud.
Will this color work in my room?
Think of Aqua White as a backdrop for confident design choices. Deep charcoal, soft black, or saturated jewel tones such as emerald, sapphire, or deep ink blue create crisp contrast against the creamy floor, while the light boards keep the overall look bright rather than heavy. If you prefer a quieter palette, warm white walls or a soft greige such as Revere Pewter or Agreeable Gray blend naturally with the floor's undertone for a calm, layered appearance.
Furniture in black or charcoal, together with matte-black or brass accents, anchors the light flooring beautifully, while jewel-tone upholstery gains added depth against the pale oak. Cabinets in warm white, soft taupe, or deep green all pair comfortably with this color. In bright, south-facing rooms, Aqua White can appear almost luminous. Under softer or north-facing light, it eases toward a gentle greige while retaining its warmth, allowing your wall color to remain balanced from morning through evening.

Overview
Aqua White is a soft, creamy off-white with a gentle warm greige undertone, light enough to serve as a blank canvas for almost any interior. That brightness lets bold wall colors take center stage, whether you choose deep charcoal, near-black, or a rich accent shade, while the pale floor keeps the room feeling open instead of heavy. In compact or north-facing spaces, it also reflects available daylight, helping the room feel brighter throughout the day.
The grain remains deliberately understated, blending flowing straight lines with soft cathedral arches, subtle mineral streaks, and the occasional pin fleck near a board edge. The result is a quiet, natural backdrop that lets the rest of the room take the spotlight. Aqua White is European Oak engineered hardwood, wire-brushed beneath a clear UV lacquer, with a 4mm real-wood oak veneer over an engineered core for improved dimensional stability. Because the veneer is genuine European Oak, the grain naturally varies from plank to plank.
Aqua White gives a small or light-starved room a calm, creamy footing that never reads cold.

Frequently asked questions
How do I estimate how much flooring I need?
Pro tip: Don't shortchange the 10% buffer. If you end up with 3-5 extra cartons, keep them — don't return them. Even if you reorder the same SKU in 3 months, it'll be a different manufacturing batch with slightly different tone and grain. It won't match your existing floor. The extras are insurance against leaks, furniture damage, or cracks down the road.
Do you offer samples I can take home?
What's your return policy?
Always covered at no cost: manufacturing defects, wrong product shipped, delivery damage documented on receipt. Call (408) 753-3220 to report.
Why not returnable by default: reverse freight on a pallet runs $300–800 with damage risk through 6 handoffs — Kapriz carries that exposure.
Rare written exceptions: 25% restocking fee + customer pays freight. Never for opened cartons, custom orders, or discontinued runs.
Pro tip: call (408) 753-3220 to arrange a sample loan before a large order — confirm the color is in the showroom (inventory rotates).
