Quick Answer
What is Midway Oak?
Midway Oak is a rigid, wood-look WPC floor in a warm mid-brown tone, with a thick, high-traffic wear layer for a durable, easy-care finish.
Is it waterproof?
Yes — 100% waterproof. The rigid core stands up to everyday surface water — spills, mop water, pet accidents — without swelling or delaminating when wiped up promptly. It won't substitute for fixing a standing leak; dry the floor and the source quickly. Not approved for outdoor installation; keep the subfloor dry before and during install.
How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?
Every plank is finished with a 20 mil wear layer — approximately 0.51 mm — appropriate for heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, giving you excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. It sits at the thicker, harder-wearing end of the range.
Will it hold up to daily life?
Minor scratches on Midway Oak stay low-visibility — faint surface marks rather than the bright white scuff lines a glossy floor shows. The 20 mil wear layer hides minor wear within the printed grain pattern — low visibility, not just high durability.
What does the plank surface look like?
Up close, the Midway Oak plank surface shows a bold cathedral pattern, those wide, arching grain peaks, running the length of each board. Dark knots sit at a moderate spacing in a medium size, and long mineral streaks follow the grain lines, the kind of natural marking a rustic plank shows. No two boards look alike; the board-to-board variation means the knots and figure shift as you move across the floor. Because the surface is printed, that rustic character stays crisp underfoot and easy to keep clean.
Quiet enough upstairs or in a condo?
The attached acoustic layer damps the hollow "click" sound characteristic of floating floors. Midway Oak is quieter underfoot than LVT with a loose pad — both for the walker and for rooms below in multi-story homes.
Is it safe for indoor air?
Yes — Midway Oak carries GREENGUARD Gold certification, independently tested for low chemical emissions. That matters most for households with allergies, asthma, or young children.
Will this color work in my room?
Under the cool overhead light and the midday sun from many windows, the reddish amber in Midway Oak lifts rather than washing out, and the daylight pulls the amber forward and keeps the mid-brown clear and lively. In a bright, window-filled room the color reads warm and open at midday; with less daylight in the evening, the same brown reads deeper and quieter. Set against soft white walls, Midway Oak stays warm without tipping into orange, which makes it an easy match for a kitchen that leans cool and clean.

Overview
Look closely at Midway Oak and the reddish amber runs right through the mid-brown, giving the color a warmth that shifts from board to board rather than sitting flat. A strong cathedral figure sweeps down each plank, broken up by dark knots and long mineral streaks that trace the grain. That board-to-board variation keeps a wide floor from reading uniform, so a run of Midway Oak looks gathered rather than repeated. It suits a modern kitchen, where the amber tone plays off cool cabinetry and metal without competing for attention. The surface is a wood-grain print, so that open, cathedral grain stays put while the plank underneath is built for the spills and traffic a kitchen sees.
