What is Troyes?

Troyes is a wood-look SPC floor in a soft greyed mid-tan brown tone, with a thick, high-traffic wear layer for a simple, carefree finish.

Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. A splash at the sink or a dropped glass wipes up without harming Troyes when cleaned promptly; don't leave water standing. Indoor use only — outdoor installation is not approved.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

Troyes is protected by a 20 mil wear layer — equivalent to 0.50 mm — designed for heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, providing excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. Noticeably thicker than the everyday layers below it.

Will it hold up to daily life?

Troyes has a 20 mil protective layer — thicker than the roughly 12-mil mid-tier and 6-mil entry-level LVT wear layers. That's the physical protective film above the print, sealed by finish.

What does the plank surface look like?

Up close, the Troyes plank shows open cathedral grain — long arching figure that flows the length of the board over the weathered mid-tan ground. The character lives in the knots: moderate, medium-sized dark knots with fine cracks splitting out of them, joined by mineral streaks that follow the grain. No two boards carry the same figure, so the surface varies plank to plank the way a reclaimed rustic floor does. It is a wood-look print over a stone-polymer core, so the knots and cracks are part of the printed decor — the surface itself stays smooth and consistent underfoot.

Quiet enough upstairs or in a condo?

The 1.5mm IXPE anti-microbial acoustic layer damps the hollow "click" sound characteristic of floating floors. Troyes is quieter underfoot than LVT with a loose pad — both for the walker and for rooms below in multi-story homes.

Will this color work in my room?

In warm afternoon daylight, Troyes lifts to a bright mid-tan, the greyed cast keeping the browns settled rather than golden. Under cooler or dimmer light it reads a touch deeper and more grounded, closer to a soft taupe-brown. That mid-tone range is forgiving: it pairs easily with white and off-white walls, navy, black, and warm metals, and because Troyes sits between the pale and the dark floors it neither washes out a bright room nor closes in a small one.
