Quick Answer

What is Squire?

Squire is a wood-look SPC floor in a warm sandy beige shade, with a durable, heavy-traffic wear layer for a simple, carefree finish.

Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. The rigid core stands up to everyday surface water — spills, mop water, pet accidents — without swelling or delaminating when wiped up promptly. It won't substitute for fixing a standing leak; dry the floor and the source quickly. Not approved for outdoor installation; keep the subfloor dry before and during install.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

Squire comes with a 20 mil wear layer — roughly 0.51 mm thick — recommended for heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, offering excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. It's a step up from the standard-duty wear layers in everyday durability.

Will it hold up to daily life?

Minor scratches on Squire stay low-visibility — faint surface marks rather than the bright white scuff lines a glossy floor shows. The 20 mil wear layer hides minor wear within the printed grain pattern — low visibility, not just high durability.

What does the plank surface look like?

Up close, the Squire plank is tidy and restrained: tight grain with long sweeping lines, scattered pin knots, and fine mineral streaks. The low contrast and subtle figure give it a smooth, uncluttered surface that fits a pared-back room.

Quiet enough upstairs or in a condo?

The 1.5mm acoustic layer damps the hollow "click" sound characteristic of floating floors. Squire is quieter underfoot than LVT with a loose pad — both for the walker and for rooms below in multi-story homes.

Is it safe for indoor air?

Yes — Squire carries FloorScore certification, independently tested for low chemical emissions. That matters most for households with allergies, asthma, or young children.

Will this color work in my room?

In bright natural light, Squire's sandy beige reads clean and light, warm enough to feel inviting without turning yellow. Strong daylight keeps it fresh and even; in softer light it warms up gently. Its quiet tone pairs easily with deep forest green, charcoal, and other saturated accents.

Overview

Squire keeps its grain tight and orderly: pin knots and fine mineral streaks over long sweeping lines, with gentle board-to-board variation and a subtle figure. The color is a warm beige with a soft sandy tone, even and unfussy. In a minimalist living room of forest-green and charcoal accents, Squire lets the furniture and art do the talking.

A warm beige with a soft sandy tone and tight, orderly grain, Squire is a clean base for minimalist living.

Frequently asked questions

What does it look like installed in a real room?
In the photographed living room, Squire runs beneath a sofa, an accent chair, and a coffee table with a console, geometric wall art, vases, a potted tree, and an arc lamp by a large window. Against white walls, the light sandy beige keeps the forest-green-and-charcoal scheme calm and open.
Will it match my cabinets?
No cabinetry sits in this room, but Squire's light sandy beige is an easy match for cabinetry generally: it works under white and off-white for a bright kitchen, and its warm base flatters green or wood-tone cabinets just as well.
How does this color read in a windowless basement?
In a windowless basement, Squire's warm sandy tone keeps a lower level feeling light rather than grey under artificial light. Warm bulbs enhance its beige warmth, and the waterproof rigid core makes it practical below grade.
Does this floor work with indoor plants?
The room was styled with a potted tree, and Squire suits greenery well: its light, warm beige makes green leaves stand out cleanly, and the quiet grain keeps even a tall plant from crowding the look.
