Splendor Satin comes with a 20 mil wear layer — approximately 0.51 mm — intended for heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, providing excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. It runs noticeably thicker than the entry-level wear layers.
How do I clean and maintain it?
Safe cleaners for Splendor Satin's 20 mil wear layer: vinyl-safe cleaners, damp microfiber mops, vacuum on hard-floor setting. The finish rules out abrasive scrubbers, bleach, ammonia, and solvent-based cleaners — these dull the wear layer permanently.
What does the plank surface look like?
Up close the planks show a prominent looping cathedral figure -- wide arches that swing across the board over a flowing straight grain.
