Is it waterproof?
Yes — 100% waterproof. A splash at the sink or a dropped glass wipes up without harming Coral Gold when cleaned promptly; don't leave water standing. Indoor use only — outdoor installation is not approved.
How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?
Coral Gold comes with a 20 mil wear layer — measuring about 0.51 mm — suited to heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, offering excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. In everyday use, it's a step up from the standard-duty wear layers.
Will it hold up to daily life?
Coral Gold has a 20 mil protective layer — thicker than the thin wear layers on entry-level LVT. That's the physical protective film above the print, sealed by finish.
What does the plank surface look like?
Up close, Coral Gold shows a flowing elongated cathedral grain -- long open arcs that loop and sweep down each board rather than tight center swirls. Small dark eye knots dot the boards at a moderate, easy spacing, joined by faint mineral flecks that trace the grain. Because the surface is a printed wood-look face, the figure shifts from one plank to the next instead of repeating.
Quiet enough upstairs or in a condo?
The 1.8mm Bio Guard anti-bacterial EVA acoustic layer damps the hollow "click" sound characteristic of floating floors. Coral Gold is quieter underfoot than LVT with a loose pad — both for the walker and for rooms below in multi-story homes.
