Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. Built for daily life: mop-and-go cleaning, occasional spills, and pet accidents wiped up promptly; clean standing water quickly. Indoor use only — outdoor installation is not approved.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

Saffron Pecan features a 22 mil wear layer — measuring about 0.56 mm — designed for heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, with excellent long-term durability. It's a step up from the standard-duty wear layers in everyday durability.

Will it hold up to daily life?

Office chair wheels, spike-heel point loads, and dragged furniture all concentrate force. Saffron Pecan's 22 mil wear layer plus 8mm rigid WPC core manages this better than laminate — WPC resists crush-indent where laminate high-density fiberboard would dent permanently.

What does the plank surface look like?

Up close, the Saffron Pecan plank is full of movement. Long, open grain flows and swirls down each board, rising into strong cathedral peaks, while dense mineral streaking draws dark lines through the golden tan. Sizable knots sit across the surface, moderate in number and medium in size, several of them opening into fine fissures that read as natural character rather than flaws. The figure shifts from one board to the next, so a Saffron Pecan floor reads as varied and worked rather than flat or repetitive.

Quiet enough upstairs or in a condo?

The attached acoustic layer damps the hollow "click" sound characteristic of floating floors. Saffron Pecan is quieter underfoot than LVT with a loose pad — both for the walker and for rooms below in multi-story homes.
