Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. Norwegian Maple handles pet accidents, water-bowl spills, and tracked-in mud wiped up promptly without swelling. Clean up standing water quickly. Not approved for outdoor installation.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

This floor has a 20 mil wear layer — approximately 0.51 mm — suited to heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, with excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. That's a step above the standard-duty wear layers.

Will it hold up to daily life?

Norwegian Maple's 20 mil wear layer and finish resist scratching and scuffing over years of use. It wipes clean with a vinyl-safe cleaner and a damp mop, and keeps the printed grain reading consistent across the floor.

What does the plank surface look like?

Up close, Norwegian Maple shows fine, straight grain lines with a gentle figure and no busy swirl. Small round knots and darker eyes are scattered across the boards at a moderate density, small in size and spaced out, enough to add character without dominating the plank. The printed surface keeps that pattern consistent board to board, so the floor stays even and readable across a whole room.
