Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. Stable against concrete-slab humidity and seasonal moisture variation, so Ezra Oak suits below-grade rooms once the slab passes a moisture test; clean up standing water promptly. Not approved for outdoor installation.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

The surface is topped by a 30 mil wear layer — equal to about 0.76 mm — recommended for heavy residential use and many commercial applications, with exceptional protection against scratches, scuffs, and everyday wear. It's among the thicker wear layers commonly found in WPC flooring.

Will it hold up to daily life?

At 30 mil, Ezra Oak's wear layer sits on the thicker end for residential flooring, which is why it stands up well to heavy day-to-day use. The 12mm construction gives it a solid, stable feel underfoot in busy rooms.

Up close, the Ezra Oak plank shows an open cathedral grain with a weathered, long-figured look, the kind of sweeping pattern that reads as older, characterful boards rather than a clean modern cut. Scattered across some planks are small clustered knots, and dark mineral streaking runs the length of the grain, with a few fine splits adding to the lived-in character. The attached acoustic layer damps the hollow "click" sound characteristic of floating floors. Ezra Oak is quieter underfoot than LVT with a loose pad — both for the walker and for rooms below in multi-story homes.
