What is Caspian Oak?

Caspian Oak is a wood-look WPC floor built around a soft weathered greige color, with a hard-wearing residential wear layer for a low-maintenance, practical finish.

Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. Kitchen reality — dropped pots, splashes, and daily mop-and-go cleaning — won't faze the planks, as long as you wipe spills up promptly and dry any standing water. Not approved for outdoor installation; test the subfloor for moisture before installing.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

Caspian Oak is protected by a 12 mil wear layer — approximately 0.30 mm — built for everyday residential use across the busy areas of most homes, providing solid everyday scratch and scuff resistance. A middle-of-the-range wear layer that balances durability with value.

Will it hold up to daily life?

Dog nails, cat claws, litter grit, water-bowl splash — Caspian Oak's 12 mil wear layer and finish resist the scratches and scuffs a pet household puts on a floor, whereas a thinner LVT wear layer marks more easily.

What does the plank surface look like?

Up close, the plank surface is where Caspian Oak earns its rustic label. Long weathered splits and fine fissures run with the grain, broken by small knots at a moderate scatter. The mixed grain shifts direction and tightness from plank to plank, and the greige tone varies too, some boards leaning paler and some a touch greyer, so the printed surface avoids any repeating pattern. It is a heavily character-marked look, closer to reclaimed, salvaged boards than to a clean modern floor.

Quiet enough upstairs or in a condo?

The attached acoustic layer damps the hollow "click" sound characteristic of floating floors. Caspian Oak is quieter underfoot than LVT with a loose pad — both for the walker and for rooms below in multi-story homes.

Is it safe for indoor air?

Will this color work in my room?
