Valletta Collection — 6.5mm Waterproof SPC (Medieval Floors)

The Valletta Collection is Medieval Floors’ slimmest, most budget-friendly waterproof line — a 6.5mm rigid stone-composite core that keeps the full waterproof performance in a lighter, more affordable plank. It carries a 20 mil wear layer and an attached 1.5mm IXPE acoustic pad, and its narrower 7″ × 48″ planks suit smaller rooms and tighter layouts. The planks float with a glueless UNILIN click, the core is 100% waterproof, and the line is GREENGUARD Gold and FloorScore certified with a Limited Lifetime Residential warranty. Its five colors are available to order through our Santa Clara showroom.

Colors in the Valletta Collection

Valletta is a compact sampler — roughly one color from each family, so you can find a fit without wading through a long list. There is a bright light beige and a slightly deeper medium beige for warm neutrals, a warm light-brown wood tone, a light grey for a cooler look, and a rustic multi-tone plank that mixes light and dark for character. On the narrower 7″ plank, these read a touch more traditional than the wide-plank lines.

Best uses for the Valletta Collection

  • Budget-conscious projects — full waterproof performance at the brand’s most affordable price point.
  • Smaller rooms & hallways — the narrower 7″ × 48″ plank scales well to compact spaces.
  • Kitchens & bathrooms — 100% waterproof against spills, steam, and mopping.
  • Basements — the rigid core stays stable over a concrete slab below grade.
  • Rentals & flips — durable, DIY-friendly, and cost-effective for turnovers.
  • Pet-friendly homes — a hard, waterproof surface resists claws and accidents.

Choosing a color from the Valletta Collection

Because there is about one color per family, start from the feel you want: beiges for warm and bright, the light brown for a natural wood look, the grey for cool and modern, or the rustic multi-tone for more visual texture. In a small room, the lighter beiges and grey will make the space feel larger, while the narrower plank keeps the scale in proportion. Frequently asked questions about the Valletta Collection

Is the thinner 6.5mm core still waterproof and durable?
Yes. The 6.5mm SPC core is fully 100% waterproof, and the 20 mil wear layer handles normal residential traffic well. The thinner core simply feels a little less substantial underfoot and is less forgiving over uneven subfloors than the 10mm or 14mm lines.
Why are Valletta planks smaller than the other collections?
Valletta uses a 7″ × 48″ plank rather than the 9″ × 60″ of the Marseille and Super SPC lines. The narrower, shorter board suits smaller rooms and tighter layouts and gives a slightly more traditional look. Note the different plank size when you calculate how many boxes you need.
Can it go in a bathroom or basement?
Yes. The waterproof core makes it suitable for bathrooms, laundry rooms, kitchens, and below-grade basements over a properly prepared subfloor.
Can I install it myself?
Yes — it floats with a glueless UNILIN click, no nails or glue. Keep a 5/16″ (8.2mm) expansion gap at the perimeter, stagger end joints at least 8″, and do not add underlayment beneath the attached pad.
How do I get a sample?
All five colors are available to order through our Santa Clara showroom, where we can pull samples and confirm the current dye lot before your order ships.
