Westwood Collection — 7.5mm Waterproof SPC (Republic Floor)

The Westwood Collection is Republic Floor’s SPC line at Kapriz, built on a 7.5mm SPC (Stone Polymer Core) with a 20 mil wear layer for genuinely waterproof, heavy-traffic performance. Each 7″ x 48″ plank locks together with an angle-drop click-lock system and ships with a 1.5mm Bioguardian anti-bacterial acoustic EVA pad pre-attached, so no separate underlayment is needed for a standard installation. The collection is FloorScore certified and backed by a 25 Years Residential / 10 Years Commercial warranty, and it comes in 3 colors spanning golden-honey, medium beige, and rustic multi-tone shades. All three Westwood colors are available to order through our Santa Clara showroom.

Colors in the Westwood Collection

Westwood’s three colors move across a warm, livable range rather than clustering in one tone family. Greystone leads with a golden honey warmth and a gentle amber glow, well suited to bright, sunlit rooms. Beverly Glen sits in the middle as a warm greige with soft taupe undertones, a flexible neutral that pairs with most cabinetry. Platinum anchors the dark end with a deep warm brown softened by muted taupe, ideal for a cozier, more grounded look.

Best uses for Westwood Collection

  • Kitchens and bathrooms — the 100% waterproof SPC core and click-lock seams handle spills and everyday moisture without special sealing.
  • Basements and below-grade rooms — rated for above, on, and below grade installation, with a mandatory 6-mil vapor barrier required over concrete.
  • Homes with pets or heavy foot traffic — the 20 mil wear layer resists scratches and scuffs from claws, kids, and daily use.
  • Rooms with hydronic or embedded radiant heat — compatible as long as the floor’s surface temperature stays at or below 85 degrees F.
  • Rental properties and busy households — the pre-attached acoustic pad and floating click-lock install simplify upkeep and future replacement.

Choosing a color from the Westwood Collection

Match Westwood’s tone to the room’s light and cabinetry: Greystone’s golden warmth brightens north-facing or low-light rooms, Beverly Glen’s neutral greige works with almost any cabinet color, and Platinum’s deep brown grounds an open-concept space without feeling heavy. Because SPC color and sheen can read differently under different lighting, view a physical sample at our Santa Clara showroom before ordering a full carton.

Frequently asked questions about the Westwood Collection

Is the Westwood Collection safe to install in bathrooms?
Yes. Westwood’s SPC core is 100% waterproof for topical spills and everyday moisture, and the angle-drop click-lock seams do not require sealant. Standard installation guidelines, including the 6-mil vapor barrier over concrete, still apply.
Can I install Westwood over radiant heat?
Yes. Westwood is compatible with hydronic and embedded radiant systems as long as the floor’s surface temperature never exceeds 85 degrees F.
Do I need to add underlayment?
No. Every Westwood plank ships with a 1.5mm Bioguardian anti-bacterial acoustic EVA pad pre-attached, and additional underlayment is not permitted except for the mandatory 6-mil moisture barrier required over concrete subfloors.
Can I install Westwood myself?
Yes. Westwood is a floating, click-lock floor — no glue or nails — and installs over plywood, OSB, concrete (above, on, or below grade), or an existing fully-adhered hard-surface floor.
How much does one carton cover?
Each carton covers 28.37 square feet. Bring your room dimensions to our Santa Clara showroom and we’ll help calculate exactly how many cartons you need, with a reasonable overage for cuts and waste.
