Crystal — 5mm SPC Waterproof Flooring (GemCore Flooring)
Crystal is GemCore’s everyday-performance SPC line — a 5mm stone-composite plank with a 20-mil wear layer and a pre-attached 1mm IXPE pad, built to click together as a floating floor. The 9″ × 60″ board runs long, and the 7-color range spans light beige and light-medium brown tones with one darker grey (Cassidy) for contrast. Crystal is FloorScore certified for low-VOC indoor air and carries a warranty up to Lifetime Residential. Order any Crystal color through our Santa Clara showroom.

Colors in the Crystal collection
Crystal’s 7 colors sit mostly in a light-to-medium beige and brown range — Argyle, Galiano, and Sarita lean toward a lighter neutral beige, while Mayne, Sidney, and Crofton run a shade warmer and darker. Cassidy is the outlier, a dark grey that gives the line a cooler option for a room that wants more contrast against light cabinetry.
Best uses for Crystal
- Kitchens & baths — the waterproof stone-composite core and pre-attached pad handle spills without a separate underlayment purchase.
- First-time SPC buyers — Crystal’s 20-mil wear layer and straightforward click install make it an approachable entry point into GemCore’s SPC range.
- Busy households with kids or pets — a dry-sweep-and-damp-mop routine keeps grit from abrading the wear layer over time.
- Basements & below-grade rooms — the stone-composite core resists the humidity swings that can warp solid wood; follow the install guide’s subfloor moisture-barrier requirement.
- Rental turnovers — the floating click install goes down without glue or long cure times between tenants.
Choosing a color from the Crystal collection
In a room with strong natural light, any of Crystal’s lighter beiges (Argyle, Galiano, Sarita) will read bright and open, while a north-facing or artificially lit room can carry the warmer Mayne or Sidney tones without looking flat. Cassidy’s darker grey pairs well against light or white cabinetry for contrast but will show dust more readily in a sunlit kitchen. Because dye lots can vary slightly, order a sample or visit our Santa Clara showroom to check the color under your own room’s light before committing to full cartons.
