Quick Answer

What is Colonial Cream?

Colonial Cream is a wood-look SPC floor in a soft mid-tan shade, with a durable, heavy-traffic wear layer for a simple, carefree finish.

Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. The rigid core stands up to everyday surface water — spills, mop water, pet accidents — without swelling or delaminating when wiped up promptly. It won't substitute for fixing a standing leak; dry the floor and the source quickly. Not approved for outdoor installation; keep the subfloor dry before and during install.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

The construction includes a 20 mil wear layer — equivalent to 0.51 mm — ideal for heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, giving you excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. It runs noticeably thicker than the entry-level wear layers.

Will it hold up to daily life?

Minor scratches on Colonial Cream stay low-visibility — faint surface marks rather than the bright white scuff lines a glossy floor shows. The 20 mil wear layer hides minor wear within the printed grain pattern, so day-to-day marks blend in rather than standing out.

What does the plank surface look like?

Up close, the plank surface shows long cathedral grain that loops into soft arcs and gentle peaks down the center of each board. A few pin-sized eye knots sit widely spaced across an otherwise quiet, feathered face, with only minimal mineral marking to break the flow. The printed wood-look surface shifts subtly from one board to the next, so the figure reads natural rather than repeated.

Quiet enough upstairs or in a condo?

The 1.8mm Bio Guard anti-bacterial EVA acoustic layer damps the hollow "click" sound characteristic of floating floors. Colonial Cream is quieter underfoot than LVT with a loose pad — both for the walker and for rooms below in multi-story homes.

Will this color work in my room?

Under the soft midday daylight in this room, Colonial Cream reads as a clean, warm mid-tan with its golden undertone coming forward and no brassy or orange edge. As the warm pendants take over toward evening, it deepens a shade to a cozier tan without going murky. It pairs easily with white walls and bright accents, staying warm enough to keep a pale scheme from feeling cold.

Overview

A soft golden undertone runs through Colonial Cream's warm mid-tan, giving it a gentle depth that reads bright and cheerful rather than flat. Long flowing cathedral grain loops into soft, subtle arcs down each plank, broken only by a few tiny eye knots set far apart and the quietest feathered figure. In an open-plan family living room it keeps a white-and-orange scheme warm and lively, an easy fit for young families who want a playful, sunlit space.

A warm golden mid-tan that keeps a bright, playful family room feeling lived-in and cheerful.

Frequently asked questions

What does it look like installed in a real room?
Installed, Colonial Cream sits under a bright modern Scandinavian living room built around a white sofa, a round wood-tone table, and a slim mesh bench. Pops of orange pillows, a patterned throw, and a bowl of lemons keep the space playful, while a cube shelving wall and a cluster of black pendants give it a clean modern edge. The warm mid-tan floor pulls the white-and-orange palette together without competing with it.
Will it match my cabinets?
Yes. Colonial Cream's warm golden mid-tan works cleanly with white cabinetry and takes the cool edge off it without fighting the trim. The wood-tone open shelving in the room picks up the floor's warmth, so the whole white-and-wood-tone scheme reads pulled-together. It would sit just as easily beside cream, greige, or natural wood-tone cabinets.
Will it still look this bright in a windowless basement?
In a windowless basement or a low-light room, Colonial Cream keeps its warmth rather than going grey or flat. The golden undertone in the mid-tan stays present under lamplight and warm fixtures, reading a shade cozier and deeper without losing its cheerful, light character. A warm mid-tone like this suits an interior room that needs a lift instead of a stark, cold floor.
