Quick Answer

What is Canyon Oak?

Canyon Oak is a waterproof, wood-look SPC floor in a soft pale beige tone, with a durable, heavy-traffic wear layer for a low-maintenance, practical finish.

Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. Powder-room splashes, daily wet feet, and towel drops wipe up without harm when cleaned promptly. Indoor use only — not for installation inside showers or wet rooms, and outdoor installation is not approved.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

Every plank is finished with a 20 mil wear layer — about 0.51 mm — appropriate for heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, providing excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. It sits at the thicker, harder-wearing end of the range.

Will it hold up to daily life?

Kitchen stress test: dropped cutlery, pans slid from oven to counter, refrigerator casters, and dishwasher spray — Canyon Oak's 20 mil wear layer and finish handle the spills, dropped pots, and dragged stools of daily kitchen use, and wipe clean with a vinyl-safe cleaner.

What does the plank surface look like?

Up close, the plank surface is genuinely busy: long cathedral arches sweep down the board, tight clusters of small pin knots dot the field, and thin mineral streaks trace along the grain. The knots are filled and smooth, so the look is characterful rather than rough, and the heavy knot density means no two planks read exactly alike. It is a printed wood-look surface, but the figure is detailed enough that the variation carries across a whole Canyon Oak floor.

Quiet enough upstairs or in a condo?

There's no separate underlayment to buy and no pad to choose. Canyon Oak's factory-attached 1.5mm Bio Guard anti-bacterial EVA acoustic pad comes bonded to every plank and dampens footfall noise throughout the home — one less material decision and one less install step.

Will this color work in my room?

Canyon Oak is warm enough to feel inviting and light enough to keep a room feeling open. In bright, sun-filled spaces the cream undertones lift and the floor reads almost creamy; on a grey, foggy Bay Area morning it calms to a soft, even sand tone. It pairs easily with white and greige walls, and it gives cooler decor a warm base to work against.

Overview

A sweeping cathedral grain runs the length of every Canyon Oak plank, broken up by clusters of small pin knots with filled centers and fine mineral fissures that keep the surface lively. The color itself is a pale sandy beige with soft cream undertones -- very light and warm, the kind of neutral that brightens a space without going stark or cold. That busy, natural figure gives Canyon Oak more personality than a plain pale floor, and its pale beige tone makes it easy to build a room around. It suits kitchens, entryways, and open living areas, and it works especially well in rooms that already get good daylight.

A pale, sandy neutral with enough knot and grain to keep it from ever looking flat.

Frequently asked questions

Will it match my cabinets?
Think pale sandy beige with a soft cream cast when you plan around Canyon Oak. Warm whites, buttery creams, and light wood-tone cabinets blend into an airy, cohesive feel, while greige stays quietly harmonious. Because the floor leans warm and light, black or espresso cabinets deliver crisp contrast without feeling heavy.
Will it still look this bright in a windowless basement?
Canyon Oak reads as a pale sandy beige with soft cream tones, and that light, airy colouring is a natural fit for low-light rooms. It reflects the small amount of light a basement offers, keeping the space feeling fresh, roomy, and lifted rather than closed-in. The gentle warmth in the beige stays friendly under artificial bulbs instead of going flat or grey. Even with no windows nearby, a couple of lamps let this floor hold a bright, easy openness.
