What is Bosc Oak?

Bosc Oak is a waterproof, wood-look WPC floor in a greige-tan shade, with a durable, heavy-traffic wear layer for a low-maintenance, practical finish.

Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. Kitchen reality — dropped pots, splashes, and daily mop-and-go cleaning — won't faze the planks, as long as you wipe spills up promptly and dry any standing water. Not approved for outdoor installation; test the subfloor for moisture before installing.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

The construction includes a 20 mil wear layer — about 0.51 mm — suited to heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, with excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. It runs noticeably thicker than the entry-level wear layers.

Will it hold up to daily life?

Dog nails, cat claws, litter grit, water-bowl splash — Bosc Oak's 20 mil wear layer and finish resist the scratches and scuffs a pet household puts on a floor, whereas a thinner LVT wear layer marks more easily.

What does the plank surface look like?

Up close the Bosc Oak surface is calm and orderly: fine, straight grain lines run cleanly down each board with only a restrained figure, so the pattern stays even from plank to plank. There is a single small knot and a little faint mineral flecking worked into the pattern, just enough natural detail to keep it from looking flat, but no heavy character or cathedral swirl. The grain here is a print bonded to the rigid WPC core rather than a milled surface, and the tight straight grain is what gives bosc oak its clean, quiet read across a whole floor.

Quiet enough upstairs or in a condo?

The attached acoustic layer damps the hollow "click" sound characteristic of floating floors. Bosc Oak is quieter underfoot than LVT with a loose pad — both for the walker and for rooms below in multi-story homes.

Is it safe for indoor air?

Yes — Bosc Oak carries GREENGUARD Gold certification, independently tested for low chemical emissions. That matters most for households with allergies, asthma, or young children.

Will this color work in my room?

In a room with real window light, Bosc Oak warms up through the afternoon: the tan in it comes forward and the greige stays soft, so the floor reads inviting rather than flat. Because the color is warm-neutral, it takes color well — soft terracotta, oatmeal, and muted greens all sit easily on it without fighting the floor. In lower or evening light the same greige-tan reads a shade deeper and cozier, which makes bosc oak an easy pick for a west-facing or afternoon-lit room.
