Quick Answer
What is Norway Oak?
Norway Oak is a waterproof, wood-look SPC floor in a warm grey shade, with a durable, heavy-traffic wear layer for a low-maintenance, practical finish.
Is it waterproof?
Yes — 100% waterproof. Powder-room splashes, daily wet feet, and towel drops wipe up without harm when cleaned promptly. Indoor use only — not for installation inside showers or wet rooms, and outdoor installation is not approved.
How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?
The flooring uses a 20 mil wear layer — which works out to 0.51 mm — built for heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, with excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. It runs noticeably thicker than the entry-level wear layers.
Will it hold up to daily life?
Kitchen stress test: dropped cutlery, pans slid from oven to counter, refrigerator casters, and dishwasher spray — Norway Oak's 20 mil wear layer and finish handle the spills, dropped pots, and dragged stools of daily kitchen use, and wipe clean with a vinyl-safe cleaner.
What does the plank surface look like?
Up close, Norway Oak shows an arching flame figure that opens wide down the center of each plank, framed by tighter straight grain along the edges. Small knots with dark centers are peppered heavily across the surface -- more of them, and more evenly spread, than a typical grey plank -- with short mineral streaks running between the arches. The printed wood-look face repeats little from board to board, so a finished floor looks varied and hand-picked rather than machine-even.
Quiet enough upstairs or in a condo?
There's no separate underlayment to buy and no pad to choose. Norway Oak's factory-attached 2mm solution EVA acoustic pad comes bonded to every plank and dampens footfall noise throughout the home — one less material decision and one less install step.
Will this color work in my room?
Because Norway Oak leans light and only barely brown, it reads bright and almost true neutral in full daylight, an easy backdrop for both cool and warm decor. Under evening lamplight the faint brown cast steps forward, softening the grey and taking any chill out of it. It pairs comfortably with white or black trim, soft sage accents, and warmer wood-tone furniture without any one of them clashing.

Overview
Norway Oak sits at the bright end of medium grey, a near-neutral shade carrying only a faint brown cast that keeps it from turning cold or clinical. Arching flame grain runs the length of each board, and what sets Norway Oak apart is the density of small dark-centered knots scattered across that bright ground, with fine mineral streaks threading between the arches. The wide planks read busy and rustic rather than uniform, so the variation from one board to the next is pronounced. That lively face suits high-traffic, informal rooms -- family kitchens, mudrooms, playrooms and rental units -- where the heavy knotting quietly hides everyday scuffs and dust.
A bright, near-neutral grey peppered with dark knots -- rustic character on a floor that shrugs off a busy household.
