How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

This floor has a 30 mil wear layer — equal to about 0.76 mm — a good match for heavy residential use and many commercial applications, with exceptional protection against scratches, scuffs, and everyday wear. A notably thick, hard-wearing surface for its class.

Will it hold up to daily life?

Grande Lotte Oak's 30 mil wear layer and finish resist scratching and scuffing over years of use. It wipes clean with a vinyl-safe cleaner and a damp mop, and keeps the printed grain reading consistent across the floor.

What does the plank surface look like?

Up close, Grande Lotte Oak shows an open cathedral grain that climbs into pronounced peaks down the middle of each board, with strong figure that shifts from one plank to the next, so no two boards read quite the same. Light mineral streaking runs along the cathedral peaks, and a few pin knots dot the surface as small dark points. It is a surface with real movement in it, more expressive than a straight, quiet grain, and that is what gives a full floor of Grande Lotte Oak its lively character.
