What is Oak Toscana?

Oak Toscana is a real-wood engineered hardwood floor in a rich amber shade, with a clean overall look and light natural character for a neat, streamlined finish.

Is it waterproof?

Engineered hardwood is water-resistant, not waterproof. Oak Toscana handles the everyday humidity swings that trouble solid wood, though it isn't built for wet areas like showers or flood-prone slabs — for those, a waterproof floor is the right call.

Can it be refinished?

Two different things: a light, compatible recoat can often refresh the finish without touching the veneer at all, while a full sanding is limited by the real wood on top. With a 3.5mm veneer, this floor gives a flooring professional real room to work with when it eventually needs refinishing. Until then, a buff-and-recoat or a deep clean is usually all it takes — a deeper sand-down is there for later, once a professional has confirmed how much veneer remains.

What does the plank surface look like?

Concerto grade is defined by what it leaves out: essentially no knot character, so the pronounced, bold oval figure in the cathedral grain gets to carry the surface on its own, easing into straight-grained stretches toward the board ends. It's a calmer, more uniform read than Boen's heavier grades, without being featureless.

What compliance certifications does it carry?

Oak Toscana is manufactured to meet FSC (controlled sources), eco-INSTITUT-Label, Blauer Engel, Nordic Swan Ecolabel, FloorScore, Emissions (VOC), EPD, and FDES certifications. These cover manufacturing and material compliance standards — such as formaldehyde-emission limits or legal wood-sourcing requirements, depending on the specific certification — rather than a personal health guarantee.

Will this color work in my room?

This warm medium brown carries a rich, amber-toned depth that reads cozy in most rooms, whether lit by daylight or warm indoor lighting. In a north-facing or lower-light room, expect that amber tone to deepen slightly; strong south-facing daylight will lift it and bring out more of the honey warmth.
