Silver Lake Collection — 6mm Waterproof SPC (Republic Floor)

The Silver Lake Collection is Republic Floor’s 6mm SPC line, built as a rigid stone-polymer floor for busy, water-prone rooms. Each plank pairs a 20 mil wear layer with a genuinely waterproof SPC (Stone Polymer Core) core and a pre-attached 1.8mm Bio Guard anti-bacterial acoustic EVA pad, so there’s no separate underlayment to buy or install. Planks measure 9″ x 60″ and join with an angle-drop click-lock system for a floating, glue-free install rated for above, on, and below grade installation. The line currently ships in a single color, Dynamic Beige, a medium beige tone, and it carries FloorScore certification plus a 50 Years Residential / 10 Years Commercial warranty. Silver Lake planks are available to order through our Santa Clara showroom.

Colors in the Silver Lake Collection

The Silver Lake Collection currently ships in one color, Dynamic Beige, a medium beige tone that reads as a soft, warm neutral rather than a stark white-oak look or a deep espresso shade. Rather than offering a spread of shades, this line puts its focus into getting that single tone right as a versatile base that opens up a room and pairs easily with most cabinetry and trim colors. Because there’s only one color in the collection, every carton you order comes from the same tone family, which keeps a larger install consistent from room to room.

Best uses for Silver Lake Collection

  • Kitchens and bathrooms — the waterproof SPC core and attached pad handle spills, splashes, and humidity without swelling or delaminating.
  • Basements and below-grade rooms — rated for above, on, and below grade installation over concrete, with a mandatory 6-mil vapor barrier under any slab install.
  • High-traffic hallways and living areas — the 20 mil wear layer resists scuffing and wear-through under daily foot traffic.
  • Pet households — a rigid SPC core and waterproof surface stand up to claws, accidents, and everyday cleanup.
  • Open-concept spaces — floating click-lock planks run continuously from kitchen to living area without a transition at every doorway.
  • Rooms with radiant heat — compatible with hydronic and embedded radiant systems as long as the floor’s surface temperature stays at or below 85 degrees F.

Choosing a color from the Silver Lake Collection

Because the Silver Lake Collection ships in a single color, choosing Dynamic Beige mostly comes down to confirming it fits your room’s light and existing finishes rather than comparing it against sibling shades. In a bright, north-facing room the medium beige tone reads soft and open, while against warm-toned cabinetry or trim it picks up complementary undertones. Because SPC color can read differently under LED versus natural light, bring home a sample or view it against your cabinets and countertops before ordering a full carton — our Santa Clara showroom keeps a physical Dynamic Beige sample on hand to compare in person.

Frequently asked questions about the Silver Lake Collection

Is the Silver Lake Collection actually waterproof?
Yes. Its SPC (Stone Polymer Core) is 100% waterproof by construction, not just water-resistant, so it can be installed in kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, and basements without a time limit on standing water.
Can I install Silver Lake over radiant heat?
Yes, it’s compatible with hydronic and embedded radiant heat systems, but the floor’s surface temperature must stay at or below 85 degrees F.
Is this a DIY-friendly floor?
Yes. Silver Lake is a floating, glue-free floor: planks click together with an angle-drop locking system, so no nails or adhesive are needed and installation goes over most flat, sound subfloors.
Do I need an underlayment or moisture barrier?
Each plank already carries a pre-attached 1.8mm Bio Guard anti-bacterial acoustic EVA pad, so no separate underlayment is added — except a mandatory 6-mil poly vapor barrier when installing over concrete.
Does the Silver Lake Collection come in more than one color?
Not yet — Silver Lake currently ships in a single color, Dynamic Beige, a medium beige tone. Each carton covers 26.19 sq ft, and a physical sample is available to view at our Santa Clara showroom before you order.
