Malta Islands Collection — 12.3mm Laminate (Republic Floor)

The Malta Islands Collection is Republic Floor’s water-resistant laminate line, built on a 12.3mm laminate core with an AC4-rated wear layer for everyday household traffic. Each plank measures 7-2/3″ x 47-13/16″ and locks together with a V-Groove angle-drop click-lock system for a tight, glueless floating floor. It does not ship with an attached pad, so plan on a separate compatible foam underlayment at install. The line comes in 7 colors running from light beige through light brown and a soft grey, and it’s available to order through our Santa Clara showroom.

Colors in the Malta Islands Collection

The Malta Islands Collection’s seven colors stay in a warm, coastal-leaning palette. Coastal Ivory, Cooper Dune, Fusion Beige, and Opal Cream sit in the medium beige family for a soft, light-filling base; Amazon Gold and Colorado Gold add warmer light-brown character; and Ash Grey brings in a light, neutral grey. None of the colors run into very dark tones, so the line reads bright and airy in both sun-filled and lower-light rooms.

Is the Malta Islands Collection waterproof?

It’s water-resistant, rated for up to 10 hours of topical-spill protection — wipe up standing liquid within that window. It is not rated for continuous submersion or full bathroom wet areas.

Do I need to buy underlayment separately?

Yes. The Malta Islands Collection does not ship with an attached pad, so plan on a separate compatible foam underlayment, plus a vapor barrier over concrete subfloors.

Can I install this floor myself?

The V-Groove angle-drop click-lock system floats over plywood, OSB, or concrete subfloors on, above, or below grade, and many DIY installers can handle it. Follow the acclimation, subfloor-flatness, and expansion-gap steps in the installation guide for a clean result.

How much coverage does a carton give me?

Each carton of the Malta Islands Collection covers 20.4 sq ft. Measure your room and add roughly 5-10% for cuts and waste before ordering.
