Green Mountain Collection — 6mm Waterproof SPC (Republic Floor)

The Green Mountain Collection is Republic Floor’s 6mm SPC series, built as a fully waterproof floor for water-prone and high-traffic rooms. Each plank pairs a rigid Stone Polymer Core with a 20 mil wear layer and a 1.8mm Bio Guard anti-bacterial acoustic EVA pad pre-attached to the back — a built-in barrier against bacterial growth that’s uncommon at this thickness. Planks measure 7″ x 60″ and join with an angle-drop click-lock system for a tight, floating installation. Five colors run light beige through light grey, so the line covers bright, airy rooms as well as warmer, more traditional palettes. It’s FloorScore certified for indoor air quality, backed by a 50-Year Residential / 10-Year Commercial warranty, and available to order through our Santa Clara showroom.

Colors in the Green Mountain Collection

The Green Mountain Collection’s five colors sit in a light-to-medium neutral range. California White is the collection’s crisp, near-white shade, while American Hornbeam and Capri Tan bring soft, warmer beige tones that read closer to a traditional wood floor. Canadian Sage sits between the two as a medium beige, and Himalayan Blue is the collection’s cooler, light grey option. Together the range suits bright, light-filled rooms as well as warmer transitional interiors, depending on your cabinetry and trim.

Best uses for Green Mountain Collection

  • Kitchens & bathrooms — the 100% waterproof SPC core and the Bio Guard anti-bacterial pad handle spills and everyday humidity without swelling or trapping moisture underfoot.
  • Basements & below-grade rooms — rated for above, on, and below grade installation over a properly prepped concrete slab.
  • Pet households — the 20 mil wear layer resists scratches and scuffs from claws and daily foot traffic.
  • High-traffic living areas & rentals — a floating angle-drop click-lock floor stands up to busy family use without seams working loose.
  • Radiant-heated floors — compatible with hydronic and embedded radiant systems, provided the floor’s surface temperature stays at or below 85 degrees F.
  • Open-concept spaces — wide 7″ x 60″ planks and a consistent light-neutral palette read as one continuous floor across connected rooms.

Choosing a color from the Green Mountain Collection

Bring a sample of California White or Himalayan Blue home to see how the lighter, cooler tones read against your cabinetry and natural light before committing to a full room. The warmer beiges, American Hornbeam and Capri Tan, tend to hide everyday dust and pet hair better in busy rooms, while Canadian Sage splits the difference for a more neutral look. Because dye lots can vary slightly between production runs, compare a physical sample against your existing trim and cabinetry in person at our Santa Clara showroom before ordering.

Frequently asked questions about the Green Mountain Collection

Is the Green Mountain Collection safe for kitchens and bathrooms?
Yes. The SPC (Stone Polymer Core) is 100% waterproof with no time limit, so standing water, spills, and daily humidity won’t cause swelling or warping when it’s cleaned up in normal use.
What is the Bio Guard pad, and why does it matter?
It’s a 1.8mm anti-bacterial acoustic EVA underlayment pre-attached to the back of every plank. Beyond the usual sound-dampening and underfoot cushion of an attached pad, its anti-bacterial treatment is a differentiator most SPC lines at this thickness don’t offer.
Can I install this floor over radiant heat?
Yes, the Green Mountain Collection is compatible with hydronic and embedded radiant heat systems, as long as the floor’s surface temperature never exceeds 85 degrees F.
Do I need to add underlayment before installing?
No. The 1.8mm Bio Guard pad is already attached to every plank, and additional underlayment isn’t permitted — the one exception is a 6-mil poly moisture barrier, which is mandatory over concrete subfloors.
How many boxes do I need for my room?
Each carton covers 23.76 sq ft. Measure your room’s square footage, add 10% for cuts and waste, and divide by 23.76 to get the number of cartons — our Santa Clara showroom can confirm the count for your project.
