Bridge River Series — 8mm Waterproof SPC (Republic Floor)

The Bridge River Series is Republic Floor’s heavier-duty SPC line, built with a 28 mil wear layer that pushes it toward commercial-grade durability — well above what most residential SPC floors carry. Each plank floats together as a rigid 8mm total build on a genuine stone polymer core, with an attached acoustic EVA underlayment on every board and an angle-drop click-lock system for a fast, glue-free install at 9″ x 72″ plank size. Seven colorways span a warm range from light honey tones through medium brown and richly variegated rustic multi-tones, giving the collection real depth for both bright and moody rooms. It’s FloorScore certified for indoor air quality, backed by a 50-Year Residential / 10-Year Commercial warranty, and available to order through our Santa Clara showroom.

Colors in the Bridge River Series

The Bridge River Series covers seven colors across a cohesive warm palette, from the pale honey tone of Elegant Sand and the light brown grain of Ginger Silk through the deeper, more saturated Cabernet Brown and Imperial Coffee. Florencia Toffee, Magma Bordeaux, and Oasis Eggshell add a rustic, multi-tone character with more visible grain variation, useful where you want a floor with texture-forward visual interest rather than a flat, uniform tone. Lighter shades open up smaller rooms and pair well with white or light cabinetry, while the medium-brown and rustic tones anchor larger, more traffic-heavy spaces.

Best uses for Bridge River Series

  • Kitchens — the fully waterproof SPC core shrugs off spills, splashes, and everyday wet mopping.
  • Bathrooms — the same waterproof core, paired with a mandatory 6-mil vapor barrier over concrete, makes it a safe wet-area choice.
  • Basements — approved for above-, on-, and below-grade installation, so it fits finished basements where many other floors can’t go.
  • High-traffic areas — the 28 mil wear layer sits above most residential SPC, giving Bridge River more scratch and scuff resistance where foot traffic is constant.
  • Pet households — that same heavier wear layer holds up better against claw scratches and scuffs than a lighter residential-grade wear layer.
  • Open-concept spaces — the attached acoustic EVA pad quiets footsteps across large open floor plans without buying a separate underlayment.

Choosing a color from the Bridge River Series

In smaller or north-facing rooms, lighter tones like Elegant Sand or Ginger Silk keep the space feeling open, while Cabernet Brown or Imperial Coffee ground a larger, sunnier room and pair well with white or light-toned cabinetry. SPC planks read differently under LED versus natural light, so bring your cabinet or paint sample into our Santa Clara showroom to see a physical plank in person before you order the full quantity.

Frequently asked questions about the Bridge River Series

Is the Bridge River Series safe for kitchens and bathrooms?
Yes. Bridge River has a genuine SPC (Stone Polymer Core), which is 100% waterproof with no time limit on standing water — unlike laminate or solid wood. It’s a solid fit for kitchens, bathrooms, and other wet-prone rooms when installed with the recommended vapor barrier over concrete.
Can Bridge River be installed over radiant heat?
Yes, Bridge River is compatible with hydronic and embedded radiant heat systems, provided the floor’s surface temperature stays at or below 85 degrees F.
Is Bridge River a DIY-friendly install?
Yes. Planks float together with an angle-drop click-lock system — no glue or nails. Start left to right with the tongue edge to the wall and stagger end joints by at least 6″ for a strong, natural layout.
Do I need a moisture barrier under Bridge River?
Over concrete, yes — a 6-mil poly vapor barrier is mandatory for every Bridge River installation. Over plywood, OSB, or an existing fully-adhered hard-surface floor, no additional barrier is required.
How much does a carton cover, and can I see a sample first?
Each carton covers 22.45 sq ft. Because SPC color can read differently under different lighting, come see and feel a physical plank at our Santa Clara showroom before ordering full cartons.
