Meridian II — 2mm Glue-Down LVT Waterproof Flooring (GemCore Flooring)

Meridian II is GemCore’s lighter-duty luxury vinyl tile (LVT) line — a 2mm glue-down dryback plank with a 12-mil wear layer under a Ceramic Bead coating, fully adhered in a 7″ × 48″ board. It’s built for a lower-traffic room, GemCore’s lighter-duty LVT tier alongside the brand’s full-mil Advantage II line. The 8-color range runs light oak beige and brown tones through two deeper rustic and walnut shades. Meridian II is FloorScore certified. Order any Meridian II color through our Santa Clara showroom.

Colors in the Meridian II collection

Most of Meridian II’s 8 colors sit in a light oak beige-to-brown range — Frosted Oak and Oak Shay are the lighter beiges, while Oak Auburn, Oak Cheyenne, Oak Kenton, and Oak Sienna run a warmer light brown. Oak Graham and Walnut Beckett are the collection’s two deeper, rustic multi-tone shades.

Best uses for Meridian II

  • Bedrooms & lower-traffic living spaces — the 12-mil wear layer is lighter-duty than GemCore’s Advantage II LVT, sized for a room that doesn’t see heavy commercial foot traffic.
  • Lighter-duty LVT projects — Meridian II’s thinner 2mm profile and 12-mil wear layer suit a lower-traffic room where the full-mil Advantage II spec isn’t needed.
  • Kitchens & baths — the waterproof vinyl core handles daily spills in lower-traffic wet rooms.
  • Rooms with an irregular subfloor — a glue-down install can conform to minor subfloor variation better than a rigid click-together plank.
  • Multi-family or rental units — the fully adhered install resists shifting under repeated move-in/move-out traffic.

Choosing a color from the Meridian II collection

Frosted Oak and Oak Shay’s lighter beige tones open up a smaller bedroom or a room with limited daylight, while the warmer Oak Auburn, Oak Cheyenne, and Oak Sienna carry well against wood-tone trim. Walnut Beckett’s deeper, richer tone works well as a single accent room rather than across a whole open floor plan. Frequently asked questions about the Meridian II collection

How is Meridian II different from Advantage II?
Meridian II is a thinner, lighter-duty LVT — 2mm with a 12-mil wear layer, versus Advantage II’s 3mm plank and 20-mil wear layer. Meridian II’s warranty is also 25 years residential rather than Lifetime, reflecting the lighter wear-layer tier.
Does Meridian II need an underlayment or pad?
No — Meridian II is a dryback glue-down floor with no pad. It installs directly to the subfloor with the GemCore-specified adhesive and trowel.
Can I install Meridian II myself?
It’s possible, but a glue-down dryback install with the correct adhesive and trowel is more exacting than a click-together floor, so most homeowners hire a flooring professional. Acclimate the flooring and adhesive to the room for at least 48 hours before installing.
How much Meridian II do I need to order?
Each carton covers 51.33 sq ft. Measure your room and add a standard overage for cuts and waste before ordering.
