Colors in the Lakeshore collection

Lakeshore’s 10 colors run from Clermont’s pale blonde and Loyola’s light blonde through a cluster of light-medium beiges (Aurora, Bayview, Oakwood, Rangely) to Baldwin, Hamlin, and Haven’s warmer light-medium brown, with Warren as the collection’s rustic multi-tone option.

Best uses for Lakeshore

  • High-traffic living areas — the 12mm waterproof laminate core and AC4-rated surface on a compact 7-1/2″ × 48″ board are built for a busy main-level room.
  • Kitchens, laundry rooms & other spill-prone spaces — the waterproof core handles daily spills, and the painted-bevel edge stays easy to wipe clean along the seams.
  • Households with pets — the scratch-resistant AC4 surface stands up to claw traffic, and the narrower 7-1/2″-wide board shows less of a single scratch across the room than a wider plank.
  • Rooms wanting a lighter, brighter color range — Clermont and Loyola’s blonde tones give Lakeshore two pale options most GemCore laminate lines don’t emphasize as heavily.
  • Smaller rooms or hallways — Lakeshore’s 7-1/2″ board is narrower than Riverfront’s or Seaside’s, reading proportionate in a tighter space.

Choosing a color from the Lakeshore collection

Clermont and Loyola’s pale blonde tones open up a smaller room or one with limited natural light, while Baldwin, Hamlin, and Haven’s deeper brown carries better in a bright, sunlit space. Warren’s rustic multi-tone pattern hides everyday wear well in a busy family room. Because dye lots can vary slightly, order a sample or visit our Santa Clara showroom to see the color under your own lighting before ordering full cartons.

Frequently asked questions about the Lakeshore collection

Is Lakeshore actually waterproof, or just water-resistant?
Lakeshore is built as a waterproof laminate — the core is rated for spills and busy rooms. That said, avoid flooding the floor or letting standing liquid sit, and wipe up spills immediately.
Can I clean Lakeshore’s painted-bevel edge with a steam mop?
Residential steam mops are allowed on the lowest power setting with a soft pad, never held on one spot longer than a minute — keep it moving along the painted-bevel seams rather than parking it in one place. For everyday cleaning, use a damp mop with a laminate cleaner applied by spray rather than poured.
Can I install Lakeshore myself?
Lakeshore clicks together as a floating floor with GemCore’s angle-snap system, which is DIY-friendly. The subfloor must be fully dry with any construction dampness resolved, and the room’s HVAC should be running for at least 7 days before installation.
How much Lakeshore do I need to order?
Each carton covers 20.15 sq ft. Measure your room and add a standard overage for cuts and waste before ordering.
