Jasper — 5mm SPC Waterproof Flooring (GemCore Flooring)

Jasper is GemCore’s long-format SPC line — a 5mm stone-composite plank at 9″ × 73″, the longest board in the GemCore lineup, with a 20-mil wear layer, a painted-bevel edge, and a pre-attached 1mm IXPE pad. It clicks together as a floating floor. The 7-color range spans light grey and honey-gold tones through medium brown and rustic multi-tone. Jasper is FloorScore certified and carries a warranty up to Lifetime Residential. Order any Jasper color through our Santa Clara showroom.

Colors in the Jasper collection

Jasper carries one of the widest color spreads among GemCore’s SPC lines: Le Page is a light grey, Maryhill a honey-gold, Boyd and Saylor sit in a light medium beige, Lyle runs a medium brown, Pimbee is the darkest of the set at a deep medium brown, and Bruneau is a rustic multi-tone. That range makes it easier to match Jasper to a specific room’s cabinetry or trim than most GemCore SPC lines.

Best uses for Jasper

  • Larger open-plan rooms — the 73″ board length shows fewer seams across a wide room than GemCore’s shorter-format SPC lines.
  • Kitchens & baths — the waterproof stone-composite core and pre-attached pad handle spills without extra underlayment.
  • Rooms needing a specific tone match — Jasper’s 7-color spread, from light grey to dark brown, gives more room to match existing cabinetry or trim than most GemCore SPC lines.
  • Busy households with kids or pets — a dry-sweep-and-damp-mop routine keeps grit from abrading the wear layer.
  • Basements & below-grade rooms — the stone-composite core resists the humidity swings that affect solid wood; follow the install guide’s moisture-barrier requirement.

Choosing a color from the Jasper collection

Le Page’s light grey and Maryhill’s honey-gold both open up a room with limited natural light, while Pimbee’s deep medium brown carries well in a sunlit space without washing out. Bruneau’s rustic multi-tone pattern hides everyday wear better in a high-traffic room than the more uniform Boyd or Saylor. Because the 73″ board shows more of each plank’s color and grain per piece, we recommend ordering a sample or visiting our Santa Clara showroom to see a full-length plank under your own lighting before ordering cartons.

Frequently asked questions about the Jasper collection

Why is Jasper’s plank longer than GemCore’s other SPC lines?
Jasper’s 73″-long board is a format choice within the collection, giving a room fewer seams than the 48″–60″ boards used on Crystal, Diamond, Garnet, and Opal.
Do I need a separate underlayment for Jasper?
No — Jasper ships with a 1mm IXPE pad pre-attached to each plank, so no additional underlayment is required for a floating install.
Can I install Jasper myself?
Jasper clicks together as a floating floor with UniClic angle-angle or tap-down locking, which is DIY-friendly on a clean, flat, structurally sound, permanently dry subfloor with a 6-mil poly-film moisture barrier.
How much Jasper do I need to order?
Each carton covers 27.48 sq ft. Measure your room and add a standard overage for cuts and waste before ordering.
