Advantage II — 3mm Glue-Down LVT Waterproof Flooring (GemCore Flooring)
Advantage II is GemCore’s full-mil luxury vinyl tile (LVT) line — a 3mm glue-down dryback plank with a 20-mil wear layer under a Ceramic Bead/Anti-bacterial coating, fully adhered rather than clicked, in a 7″ × 48″ board. It’s GemCore’s widest LVT color range at 10 shades, running pale grey and beige through warm light brown to a rustic caramel and a dark grey. Colors in the Advantage II collection
Advantage II carries GemCore’s widest LVT color range: Oak Frost and Polar Maple are pale, cool greys; Hickory Snow and Oak Latte are light beiges; Raw Oak and Sunbeam Oak run a light warm brown; Aged Oak deepens to a medium brown; Oak Riverstone and Oak Black Pearl move toward grey-brown and dark grey; and Caramel Oak stands out as the collection’s rustic, multi-tone shade.
Best uses for Advantage II
- Commercial & high-traffic residential spaces — a fully adhered glue-down floor resists the shifting and gapping a floating floor can show under heavy rolling traffic.
- Kitchens & baths — the waterproof vinyl core handles daily spills, and the full-mil 20-mil wear layer stands up to repeated foot traffic.
- Rooms with an irregular or out-of-level subfloor — a glue-down install can conform to minor subfloor variation better than a rigid click-together plank.
- Projects wanting the widest color choice — 10 colors give more room to match existing trim or cabinetry than GemCore’s other collections.
- Radiant-heated rooms — check GemCore’s LVT guidelines for the specific temperature limit before installing over radiant heat.
Choosing a color from the Advantage II collection
Oak Frost and Polar Maple’s cool pale greys suit a modern, white-cabinet kitchen, while Raw Oak and Sunbeam Oak’s warm light brown pairs better with wood-tone trim. Oak Black Pearl’s dark grey adds contrast against light walls, and Caramel Oak’s rustic multi-tone pattern hides everyday wear well in a high-traffic commercial space. Because Advantage II is a fully adhered install, we especially recommend seeing a sample under your own lighting — order one or visit our Santa Clara showroom before committing to full cartons.
