Prestige — 3/8″ Engineered Oak & Maple (Boen Hardwood Flooring)
Prestige is Boen’s thinnest collection in this catalog — a compact 2-3/4″ strip built on a 2-layer engineered construction (rather than the 3-layer core used elsewhere in the Boen line) at just 3/8″ total thickness, with a 3.5mm real wood veneer in oak or Canadian maple. Two colors are available, sealed under a low-sheen Live Matt finish. Backed by a 25-Year Residential Warranty and FSC, Nordic Swan Ecolabel, and eco-INSTITUT certification, it’s available to order through our Santa Clara showroom.

Colors in the Prestige
Prestige keeps it simple: one warm-blonde Canadian maple color and one light-brown oak color, both real-wood veneers sealed under the same low-sheen Live Matt finish. It’s a two-color line built for a specific compact-strip look rather than a wide palette.
Best uses for Prestige
- A traditional narrow-strip look — the 2-3/4″ width and thin 3/8″ profile suit a more classic parquet-strip aesthetic than Boen’s wider plank collections.
- Transitions or smaller rooms — a thinner overall build can help where floor-height clearance against an adjoining surface is tight; confirm the actual height difference for your project.
- Rooms with underfloor radiant heat — approved for radiant use per Boen’s install requirements; the Canadian maple color is one of the species Boen flags as more sensitive to underfloor heating, so confirm before installing that option over radiant.
- Buyers who’ve decided on a warm, real-wood look — with only two colors, Prestige suits someone set on the format more than someone still comparing many shades.
Choosing a color from the Prestige
The Canadian maple color reads warmer and brighter; the oak color sits a shade deeper in light brown. With only two options, the choice comes down mostly to species preference and how the color reads against your cabinetry or trim — see both in person at our Santa Clara showroom before deciding.
