What is Parchment Oak?

Parchment Oak is a waterproof, wood-look WPC floor in a soft warm mid-brown tone, with a thick, high-traffic wear layer for a durable, easy-care finish.

Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. Stable against concrete-slab humidity and seasonal moisture variation, so Parchment Oak suits below-grade rooms once the slab passes a moisture test; clean up standing water promptly. Not approved for outdoor installation.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

The construction includes a 20 mil wear layer — approximately 0.51 mm — built for heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, providing excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. It's a step up from the standard-duty wear layers in everyday durability.

Will it hold up to daily life?

At 20 mil, Parchment Oak's wear layer sits on the thicker end for residential flooring, which is why it stands up well to heavy day-to-day use. The 10.25mm construction gives it a solid, stable feel underfoot in busy rooms.

What does the plank surface look like?

Up close, the Parchment Oak plank shows an open straight grain with a soft cathedral figure sweeping up the center of each board. Fine ray flecking, small pale flecks that run across the grain, gives the surface a quartersawn look and keeps it from reading flat. Pin knots are small and scattered sparsely, joined by a few hairline fissures and gentle variation from plank to plank, so there is texture in the pattern without heavy rustic character. It reads clean and natural, a light-brown surface with just enough movement to stay interesting underfoot.

Quiet enough upstairs or in a condo?

The attached acoustic layer damps the hollow "click" sound characteristic of floating floors. Parchment Oak is quieter underfoot than LVT with a loose pad — both for the walker and for rooms below in multi-story homes.

Is it safe for indoor air?

Yes — Parchment Oak carries GREENGUARD Gold certification, independently tested for low chemical emissions. That matters most for households with allergies, asthma, or young children.
