What is Hayes Oak?

Hayes Oak is a wood-look WPC floor in a pale beige shade, with a thick, high-traffic wear layer for a durable, easy-care finish.

Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. Stable against concrete-slab humidity and seasonal moisture variation, so Hayes Oak suits below-grade rooms once the slab passes a moisture test; clean up standing water promptly. Not approved for outdoor installation.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

Every plank is finished with a 20 mil wear layer — about 0.51 mm — ideal for heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, giving you excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. It sits at the thicker, harder-wearing end of the range.

Will it hold up to daily life?

At 20 mil, Hayes Oak's wear layer sits on the thicker end for residential flooring, which is why it stands up well to heavy day-to-day use. The 8mm construction gives it a solid, stable feel underfoot in busy rooms.

What does the plank surface look like?

Up close the Hayes Oak plank shows a flowing cathedral figure, with the grain rising from the edges toward a broad center crown and broken by cross-sawn marks that give the surface a lightly rustic, hand-worked look. Faint mineral streaks thread through here and there, and small knots show up only occasionally, sparse enough that no two planks read as busy. The pattern is printed onto the surface over a rigid core, so it stays crisp and consistent underfoot from board to board.

Quiet enough upstairs or in a condo?

The attached acoustic layer damps the hollow "click" sound characteristic of floating floors. Hayes Oak is quieter underfoot than LVT with a loose pad — both for the walker and for rooms below in multi-story homes.

Is it safe for indoor air?

Yes — Hayes Oak carries GREENGUARD Gold certification, independently tested for low chemical emissions. That matters most for households with allergies, asthma, or young children.

Will this color work in my room?

Hayes Oak is a warm pale beige, and under the bright midday light of a many-windowed room that warmth lifts rather than yellows, so the floor reads clean and airy, closer to soft sand than to grey. In a north-facing or lower-lit space it reads a shade deeper and cozier, still light but with a little more greige showing. Because the tone stays neutral and warm, it pairs easily with soft white walls, cool blues and sages, or natural linen and rattan, and it never fights a brighter accent.
