What is Catapult?

Catapult is a rigid, wood-look SPC floor built around a honey color, with a durable, heavy-traffic wear layer for a simple, carefree finish.

Is it waterproof?

Yes — 100% waterproof. A splash at the sink or a dropped glass wipes up without harming Catapult when cleaned promptly; don't leave water standing. Indoor use only — outdoor installation is not approved.

How durable is it, and what traffic can it take?

Catapult is protected by a 20 mil wear layer — equivalent to 0.51 mm — designed for heavy residential use and many light-commercial applications, offering excellent protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and abrasion. It's a step up from the standard-duty wear layers in everyday durability.

Will it hold up to daily life?

Catapult has a 20 mil protective layer — thicker than the thin wear layers on entry-level LVT. That's the physical protective film above the print, sealed by finish.

What does the plank surface look like?

Up close, Catapult shows an open cathedral grain with bold, prominent figure: wide peaks and long flowing lines that travel the full length of the board. A few small knots turn up here and there, adding character without clutter, and the board-to-board movement means no two planks look identical across the floor. The surface is a printed wood-look layer over a rigid stone-polymer core, so you get the sawn-board look with none of the cupping or gapping milled boards can develop.

Quiet enough upstairs or in a condo?

The 1.5mm acoustic layer damps the hollow "click" sound characteristic of floating floors. Catapult is quieter underfoot than LVT with a loose pad — both for the walker and for rooms below in multi-story homes.

Is it safe for indoor air?

Yes — Catapult carries FloorScore certification, independently tested for low chemical emissions. That matters most for households with allergies, asthma, or young children.

Will this color work in my room?

Catapult reads as a soft, sunlit gold. In the bright afternoon light coming through sheer curtains, the tone lifts and warms and shows its honeyed side; in a darker or north-facing room it deepens to a richer amber-tan without going dull. Because Catapult stays on the warm side of neutral, it pairs easily with charcoal and cooler greys, which keep the gold from feeling too sweet, and just as well with off-whites and soft greens. It is an approachable color that flatters both airy and moodier rooms.
