Chaletino — 3/4″ Engineered Oak (Boen Hardwood Flooring)

Chaletino is Boen’s widest-format collection in this catalog — an 11-13/16″ plank with a 4.5mm real oak veneer over a 3-layer engineered core, sealed under Live Pure lacquer or, on select colors, an oiled Live Natural finish. Nine colors run from pale beige through warm brown, each carrying grade-level knot and grain character true to a real wood floor. The collection ships with a 25-Year Residential Warranty and is FSC, Nordic Swan Ecolabel, and eco-INSTITUT certified. Chaletino is available to order through our Santa Clara showroom.

Colors in the Chaletino

The Chaletino range sits mostly in the light-to-medium band — pale beige, light beige, and warm blonde tones make up most of the 9 colors, with a couple of warmer light-brown options at the deeper end. There’s no near-black or high-contrast option in this collection; it’s built for buyers who want a wide, natural-wood look without a dramatic dark statement floor.

Best uses for Chaletino

  • Large open-plan rooms — the 11-13/16″ width covers more floor per board, so a big room reads with fewer seams than a narrower plank.
  • Whole-home installs — the 25-Year Residential Warranty and consistent oak veneer make it a safe pick from one room to the next.
  • Rooms with underfloor radiant heat — approved for radiant use per Boen’s install requirements (60 W/m², 27–29°C surface max).
  • Buyers who want a calmer, lighter palette — the color range leans light-to-medium, suited to rooms that want an open, airy feel rather than a bold dark floor.

Choosing a color from the Chaletino

A paler Chaletino color keeps a room feeling bright under limited daylight, while a warmer light-brown option grounds a space with more natural wall or furniture color already in it. Since this is a real oak veneer, see a physical sample at our Santa Clara showroom under your own room’s light before ordering — our team can also cross-check dye lots ahead of a larger order.

Frequently asked questions about the Chaletino

Is Chaletino waterproof?
No — it’s water-resistant, not waterproof. The engineered core resists the swelling and gapping that moisture causes in solid wood, but it isn’t built for wet rooms and spills should be wiped up promptly.
Can Chaletino be installed as a DIY project?
Chaletino is a T&G glue-down floor, not a click-together floating floor, so most owners hire a professional installer. The room needs to be heated and dry first (30–60% RH, minimum 59°F), and the flooring should acclimate on-site for 48 hours before install.
How many cartons do I need for my room?
Each Chaletino carton covers 17.8 sq ft. Measure your room and add a waste allowance for cuts — our showroom team can help you work out the right order quantity.
Can Chaletino go over radiant floor heating?
Yes, subject to Boen’s install requirements — up to 60 W/m² with a 27–29°C surface-temperature limit.
Can I see a sample before I order?
Yes — our Santa Clara showroom carries physical samples so you can check the color and grain under your own lighting before committing.
