Hi there, I’m Sergei, and I own Kapriz Hardwood Flooring Store. Let me share our journey. Back in 2001, my wife and I got our first house while working as QA engineers. Life took a turn when I lost my job, and soon after, my wife did too.

Money got tight, and we had only three months of mortgage payments saved up. To distract myself, I visited a pet store and met the most amazing Husky. We couldn’t resist, even though affording her was a challenge. She brought us so much joy, but one day, we came home to a disaster – she’d wrecked the floors and more. Despite the chaos, we loved her.

Facing the mess, I decided to fix the floors on a budget. I bought materials, and learned to install laminate flooring, and, though not perfect, it worked. That day, I committed to perfecting this skill.

I got a job as a flooring installer, learning the ropes over the next two years. From flooring types to installation, I immersed myself in every aspect. Through trials, mistakes, and victories, I mastered the art.

Becoming a pro, I wanted to turn my passion into a career. That’s when Kapriz Hardwood Floors was born. And that is our story.
